Excellent hotel in a brilliant location with free parking, food was superb with lots of choice for all including vegetarian options, very helpful and friendly staff, I would highly recommend this hotel
All in all a nice hotel, would definitely recommend as it is close to the airport, you're a 10 minute cab ride from downtown.
A clean and comfortable hotel with friendly and helpful staff , big thank you to the night porter who came with us to help us find underground parking that night.
The hotel is around a 10 minute drive from Dublin airport (by shuttle bus or taxi) and its rates on this occasion were certainly lower than those of the properties within the airport itself, so the Metro Hotel off...

So we found this place and it had "Glendowan" on it's sign at the roadside but when we drove up the driveway there was a host of cars. We weren't sure if it was a garage or a busy B&B. There was a man fixing a car and he never approached us so we left looking on a different street. We ended up back there and looking at the booking results on the iPad comparing photos of the place. Yup, we were at the right place.... that was a real effort considering there was someone outside that could have helped us. Now, saying that, once inside and introduced.... what a great place. Extremely helpful is all I can say. I was permitted use of the office which had a sofa to do some internet work, but they could really use a sitting area. We found at other B&B's this was a great place to get to know others and pass on info or gain info on our travels. This place does not have that and so when there you are sort of confined to your bedroom. A bit of a drag.…
Although the B&B was hard to find because of poor road signs, it was well worth it. When we arrived the hostess offered to put us up in another B&B lest the birthday party for their 18 year might disturb us; but we were not concerned. We were flying home the next morning, so we wouldn't be staying for breakfast. She then appeared later with a tray of fruit, drinks and cookies to tide us over in the morning. I had a big concern about finding my way back to return the rental car in the morning, so the host drove me there at night to show me the way, for which I was very grateful. Mary and Paul were like old friends to us, so obliging, helpful and forthcoming in every way. Thank you so much!.
We spent our last night here since we had a morning flight the next day. It was a little tricky to find but once we did, no other complaints. The host even let us use her personal computer for email which was great. The room was average size with hardwood floors. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was the typical size of small B&Bs. The breakfast was fantastic. At 70 Euros, it was a deal for us. Not too far of a drive from Malahide where we had our last dinner at Smyth's.
This was a nice bed and breakfast within 10 minutes from Dublin airport by taxi. We did not have a car while staying here. We walked to the end of the road and boarded Bus 42 to Malahide - within 10 minutes to the coast. Malahide is gorgeous and well worth a visit. Cruzzo is a fabulous restaurant in Malahide. Paul and Mary were gracious hosts at the B&B. We enjoyed our traditional Irish breakfast. Mary helped us with taxis and bus information. Our beds were comfortable and the bathroom was ensuite. The room was clean with TV, iron and ironing board.
