I had a two night stay at Gisborough Hall hotel, I was actually staying at the hotel for a funeral in the local area with the wake been at the hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful and I enjoyed my staff. Room was large, clean and the whole hotel was well maintained. A good choice at breakfast. Highly recommend.

An exceptional place to stay, full of character but with all you need, and so much more. Lovely spacious rooms, great food, drink, ( Especially The Whisky Safe ! ), and great food too. Very clean and tidy, great staff who cannot help enough, just a great place to stay! It is ideally located for Saltburn, Whitby , Scarborough, Fountains Abbey, a really good base to set off from, and fab to return to.

Stayed here for one night on our Cleveland Way walk. A night of absolute luxury to rest our weary legs! Check-in was efficient and friendly, we had a drink from the bar and sat on the terrace. Us in our walking gear with pints of Black Sheep, side by side with G & T drinking smartly dressed friendly folk. Room was lovely with all amenities. We are in De Brus Bar and Grill, food and service was good, wine a little on the expensive side, but I guess that's to be expected. Great breakfast, very formally served but delicious. Had a wander around the beautiful grounds the following morning. Would definitely recommend.

Short stay to attend a nearby wedding but wish it was longer. Our accommodation was huge and beautiful (can’t call it a bedroom). Reception were first class on check and when leaving. Thanks to night team for snacks that were fresh and delicious (roast beef triple decker). A lovely breakfast finished off a brief but VERY comfortable and stylish stay.

Why this amazing hotel is not 5* is just beyond us. This is the 2nd time we have visited. The whole experience is Just total relaxation. The only way we can describe this hotel is that It invites you in and gives you a hug. The building itself is fantastic but the staff are just incredible and make you feel so special and valued. It’s probably unfair to name any individuals but Beth and Abby are the perfect examples. Food is second to none be it the main restaurant or the grill. Cocktail options are well presented and varied. All in all a place to “escape “ to in this daft world. Hope we will be back sooner rather than later. Please don’t change.

Lovely building in nice grounds. Staff very friendly, helpful and welcoming. We couldn't book a table through reception the first night as we arrived quite late, but the grill staff managed to fit us in when we went down and asked. The room was large, with a comfortable bed, but the decor in the modern wing was rather uninspiring - perhaps the rooms in the main house have more charm. The main restaurant was the highlight - lovely food, reasonably priced. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. All in all, a good place to stay if visiting the area.
