A unique and tranquil oasis with unspoiled panoramic views of sea and mountains off Panama's Pacific Gold Coast. Close to Coronado, Lake La Laguna and El Valle. Stay includes a full breakfast, infinity pool, jaccuzzi. Due to our semi remote location lunch and dinners and full bar is available on site. Property not suitable for children, the elderly and pets. Our location is a hikers paradise. There are several famous hiking trails including Cerro Picacho,La Laguna (8 minute drive to trail head) and the India Dormida, El Valle (25 minute drive to trail head) as well as several trails to the river from the property.

One of the best places I have ever visited. The weather is super pleasant and the views both during the day and at night are beautiful. The facilities are clean, comfortable and welcoming. The Hosts provide all possible hospitality and make you feel comfortable in your stay. A place that I would visit again without thinking twice. / Uno de los mejores lugares que he visitado. El clima es super agradable y las vistas tanto de dia como de noche son hermosas. Las instalaciones son limpias, comodas y acogedoras. Los Anfitriones brindan toda la hospitalidad posible y te hacen sentir comodo en la estadia. Un lugar que volveria a visitar sin pensarlo 2 veces.

Many firsts for me. First solo Panamanian road trip, first B&B stay in the mountains, and first time a car I’ve driven decided it would rather “fly” than stick to the road leading up to your driveway. Thank God for whoever planted those thick tree bushes!!! Or else I don’t know that I’d be able to write this review. Of course a HUGE thanks for the local Panamanians (“AAA”), my heroes!! Who seemingly came out of nowhere, stopping to help a foreigner in trouble, without even being asked. Persevering until successfully extracting the car (and me) from the branches. That speaks volumes to the deeply rooted empathy and caring good nature of these wonderful people. There’s definitely a learning “curve” (pun intended) for those not used to mountain driving. I HIGHLY recommend renting a 4x4. I rented an SUV (not a 4x4). But if you’re not used to steep inclines, it can be quite intimidating at first. These are some majorly steep inclines that seem to defy gravity. Take it from me, you’ll be happier that you splurged for the 4x4!!! Putting all that aside, once you finally get up that mountain, you’ll see it’s so worth the trip!! The views from The Hawk’s Nest are truly spectacular, and postcard perfect. Wanda, Randy, and the “girls” are very welcoming! I’ve already told them, if I ever move to Panama (which hopefully will be one day soon), I’d love to own a home as magnificent as theirs atop a mountain with gorgeous views (minus the crazy inclines!!! 🤣) Wanda and Randy were graciously accommodating (especially picky eating habits), and prepared delicious meals besides breakfast. There aren’t a lot of dining options close by, so this was very convenient and very reasonable. Don’t miss Randy’s (authentically Italian approved) pizza!! and Wanda’s homegrown Lemongrass tea!! For anything Panama-related, especially in the area, you couldn’t ask for a better source of information than Wanda and Randy. I’m so glad The Hawk’s Nest was my first stop on my first Panamanian solo Road trip. It was definitely memorable in so many ways!! Thank you Wanda and Randy!! BAY🎵…
