Where to begin? From the moment we arrived, our experience at Finca Serena was absolutely perfect. Every member of staff were just wonderful and balanced professionalism with friendliness easily. Our room was spectacular, with plenty of space and stunning decor. We ate at the restaurant both nights and the food was beautiful. Very clever to change the menu each evening so you can eat there again without struggling to find new menu items. We slept perfectly, ate well, and were sad to leave after 2 nights. We feel like we have found a very special retreat that we already cannot wait to return to. It’s also worth noting we are a married gay couple and at no point were we made to feel other during our stay. This is sadly not always the case so credit again to this hotel. Also: the hotel operate a scheme where through donations they offer job opportunities to people who would otherwise not be working (in this case a fabulous cleaner) which is a beautiful thing to do. To summarise: we LOVE this hotel!

so let me start with we had an unsatisfactory stay so decided to take the time to write to the hotel and head office, using emails provided. Both were ignored!
We were flabbergasted as some of the complaints were serious in our view so we then sent a letter to Unico hotels head office, this too was ignored !
So that says a lot about the quality and attitude to customer here. It’s an overpriced badly run hotel that is using ‘finca charm’ to hide shoddy service. In summary some of our issues :
1. No queuing system at reception - whoever pushes in front gets served 2. Wait 2 hours to get a prepared pdf of restaurant recommendations as after we requested it we were told reception got busy with other guests and they’d have to get back to us! 3. Not allowed have breakfast outside despite being told it was served there 4. Dirty tables outside on terrace ring marks and crumbs left from night before 5. Dirty floor in restaurant both days - broken glass on it second day from night before not cleaned up see photo 6. Dirty feet mark on wall of downstairs toilet ! Not noticed and obviously been left there for some time see photo 7. Poor choice at breakfast buffet and v little non fat items, nor did any staff feel the need to try and get them over the duration of our stay 8. Used towels left on loungers. We sat by pool one day and only once over fours of entire day did an attendant do a sweep of towels. 9. No pool service if you want something you have got to go to main hotel to ask before it’s brought down. 10. No lunch options only full restaurant 3 course menu 11. We decided to bring our own food out to eat breakfast outside _staff watched as we wiped cleaned our own tables and carried everything out ourselves. 12 . Zero soul as others have described 13. No outdoor lights for two nights leading down to our room - dark, uneven paths had to use torch on phone 14. Offered toilet! to change in when we asked could have a late check out and planned on staying by pool and asked for changing facilities later.
I could go on but that should give you a feel. We wrote a long email with constructive feedback on all of the above and as I said this was ignored. If you want 5 star service (as the price is pitched here ) then do not go. Much more charm and service all over Mallorca with hoteliers who actually care about customer service and feedback.

We had a nice stay here during our honeymoon. The property is beautiful and the dinner menu at Jacaranda was really good. They have a pretty good breakfast spread too. I suggest only eating at the restaurant while there, skip room service. One night we did room service our food was cold and nothing special. The pool is great but it is not serviced, maybe this was because we were visiting in October and not peak season? When we first checked in our room was a "double garden" but was extremely small so we requested a larger "suite" room and it was very comfortable and spacious. My husband and I both had great massages at the spa. The indoor pool in the fitness center is really nice, the sauna is great but only fits one or two people at a time. The steam room was broken while we were there. The gym has nice equipment but is rather small - though no one was in the gym both times we went which was nice. This property is great for those who are outdoorsy or love to bike, there are complimentary bicycles available and great trails to walk around the property. If you're looking for more activity during the evening this isn't the place for you as it is very quiet and relaxing at night and the restaurant closes around 10pm. The nearest towns are about 10-20 minutes away by car. Overall nice stay!

The hotel is stunning - the views are incredible as are the hotel grounds. The hotel has a very high-end feel - the main building, rooms and communal areas are all finished to a very high standard. Equally, the bed lined, pillows, towels etc. are all excellent quality. The food, in our view, was also to a high standard although I would agree with some comments regarding the choice being a bit limited.
The only downside from our perspective was the service. The service wasn't bad, it just wasn't what you'd expect when paying £500 a night nor was it in keeping with the standard set elsewhere (noted above). There was a lot of inconsistency depending who served you, it was often difficult to get a drink round the pool and service round the pool seemed to start later each day. For the price you're paying to be there and the price you pay for food and drink I felt the service needed to be more polished.

There are some great features to the hotel; attentive and professional staff, beautiful setting and outdoor dining areas, nice walking trails. Also the breakfast is great. The food, however lets it down. Its not that the food is bad , I think its average but the point is that for the price point they charge for the food and the room its terrible value. Firstly there is a set menu for lunch and dinner every day, that's fine but if you want an alternative from the separate menu they need 24 hours notice. There may be well be a practical reason for this but not acceptable for a 5 star hotel that I am paying 575 euro a night for. Wednesday nights dinner 62 per person, Thursday 80 per person, Saturday tasting 80 per person. The dinner on Thursday had a fruit salad for dessert. I mean the standard fruit salad nothing special. I am not sure that has any place on a set 62 euro menu. We had a fantastic tasting menu in March Fosh in Palma earlier in the week , 85 Euro per person. This has a Michelin star as does Bens d'Avail and DNIS where prices for the tasting menu are 75 to 90 Euro. The point being that you cannot charge Michelin restaurant prices for non- Michelin quality food . Even if it was close I wouldn't mind but its way off. The hotel does get great reviews , so I thought I was onto a winner when I booked it. But it's essentially an overpriced restaurant with 25 rooms approximately and a pool. I believe a 5 star hotel that costs this much should be able to carry itself even if its poring rain. This is even more relevant in a more remote location such as this where you can't entertain yourself in the city. So for all those who give it such good reviews let me ask. If you were unlucky enough for it to be raining for your 4 or 5 days there what would you do; Average restaurant, for almost 600 euro you get a small room, no bath, no hotel bar , small TV, small gym, no bath, no real communal or library area. I think its style over substance for this one, that's why I wouldn't recommend it. I always think some of the negative reviews are biased but I have actually never reviewed a hotel in my life before so I am not bitter! But I do feel robbed.

My wife and I had a truly unbelievable stay at Finca Serena. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The property is absolutely stunning with a number of unique aspects. We very much enjoyed lounging by the pool, relaxing at the spa and strolling around the property! My wife had a lovely massage with Veronica. Finca Serena is conveniently located outside Palma but within driving distance from a number of towns. I would recommend this hotel for people who enjoy outdoors, agriculture, and relaxing. Breakfast was included in our room rate and was amazing. Dinner at jacaronda was reasonably priced for the luxury menu (60 pp). 10/10 can't wait to come back.

We booked 4 nights at Finca Serena but stayed only one night instead.
The property itself is beautiful however it has no soul. I do not know why.
Check in and check out went smooth, it was quick and the lady was nice. They provide you with a welcome drink which is a nice gesture especially now in the post pandemic times when it feels like you should not expect any welcome drink anymore.
The point at which we decided to leave was the lunch. You can basically choose only three course menu for lunch that costs 44 €. The food was terrible. We ordered the menu once and I ordered just fish separetely (31€), the portion was big (probably too big for this type of restaurant), it was too salty but tasteless at the same time. The fish fillet was really thick, not cooked well. The lady at the lunch was cold and not very attentive.
As the dinner is the same - fixed menu - we decided to go to Palma for dinner. The worst part is that any decent restaurant is at least 30 mins in the car from Finca Serena. But I would rather drive 2 hours than eat there again.
Breakfast was ok but only the food from the buffet. We ordered Eggs Benedict and the Hollaindaise sauce was the worst I have ever had, so I guess there is a serious problem in the kitchen.
Rooms are well equipped but not very charming. I would expect something more from this hotel.
The pool area looks average, it is certainly not the place where you want to spend your day and I went through the roof when they brought me my Cava in a dirty glass and charged 13 € for 0.5 l of still water!
AC in the room was broken so it was very very hot in the room.
Also, at the check in you got this letter from the manager that starts with “welcome” but there is no salution so it felt very impersonal.
For me probably the worst value for money hotel stay.
I would never ever come back.

The best accommodation I have ever experienced. When checking in, they saw that I was Korean and had a Korean-speaking staff member respond to me. The details were really great. You can use the spa health facility even after check-out, but it feels really private since very few people use it. The gym is small, but I didn't see a single person using it, so I rented it out and used it alone. What is a bit disappointing is that it is inevitably a bit far from the city or other travel destinations, but if you rent a car, you can cover it to some extent. The friendliness of the staff was truly outstanding. It was perfect because there were just the right number of people. However, when I tried to make a reservation for the picnic program, I heard that it was full this week, so it's a shame that I couldn't use it. It would be better to make a reservation by email in advance.
