Our family of four stayed at Hotel Indigo for 5 nights in adjoining rooms. The entry is on the Ground Floor of the Dogenzaki dori building but the Hotel Lobby is on the 12th floor. The lobby layout was inviting with comfortable lounges to sit on and a lovely scent that lingered.

Check in was seamless and efficient. Our rooms on the 21st floor were not spacious by any means but comfortable enough for two persons in each room. The rooms had modern decor and designed to make good use of the space. We loved our rooms and the bathroom. Daily cleaning was done well and the hotel provided 2 bottles of filtered water for drinking each day. The view of Tokyo from our room was also fantastic.

We availed the daily hotel breakfast which included the buffet and an additional dish from the a la carte menu. There were Japanese and Western style meals to choose from. The food and buffet was great. It was worthwhile including the breakfast with our stay.

All the staff we came across were lovely, welcoming and hospitable, including Reception during check in, at breakfast and the room attendants/ cleaners.

We were initially concerned about walking with our four heavy luggage from the JR/ Yamanote line to Hotel Indigo but the 8 minute walk was not an issue at all.

We are planning to return later this year to Tokyo and we will be staying at Hotel Indigo again.

Just do it. Four adults and a two year old. Amazing little hotel in just the right spot. Perfect rooms, well appointed. Lovely bathrooms, wonderful views, close to the action and prime shopping just walk on over. Clean little gym. Shops and bakery on the street directly adjoining the hotel. Three coffee spots that are perfect. Taxi pulls up to the third floor drive and your luggage is handled for you and as a bonus water is already in the taxi waiting. I cannot express the satisfaction we had during our stay. Remarkable folks manning the desk. Just do it!

Hotel Indigo Tokyo Shibuya is a great choice for travelers seeking a prime location in Tokyo. Nestled right across from the MEGA Don Quijote discount store (ideal for souvenirs) and a quick five-minute walk to the Shibuya train station, it makes exploring the city easy and convenient. The City Bakery at the base of the hotel is a perfect spot to start the day with a delicious breakfast. Being only one train stop away from the energy of Shinjuku and within walking distance to countless restaurants and shops adds to the appeal of Hotel Indigo.

Our room (1625) was both comfortable and impeccably clean, with thoughtfully chosen bath amenities. As a corner room, it offered sweeping views of Tokyo’s skyline, including a stunning glimpse of Mount Fuji on clear days. The bed was plush and cozy, making it easy to unwind after long days of sightseeing. The front desk staff was always ready with restaurant recommendations and helpful directions that made navigating Tokyo a breeze.

There were, however, a few minor drawbacks. The room rate was quite high, especially considering the modest room size. Storage was minimal, with no drawers or substantial space to unpack, which made managing belongings a bit challenging during a 5 night stay. Additionally, the hotel’s restaurant hours were surprisingly limited, not open when we went at 10:00am or 10:30pm. This made it difficult to take advantage of the 5,000 yen dining benefit we received.

Overall, Hotel Indigo Tokyo Shibuya is an ideal spot for those prioritizing location, comfort, and a taste of Tokyo’s vibrant scene.

Hotel staff are very professional and all speak fluent English. The hotel location is also very convenient, with two cafes located right downstairs that open as early as 7:30 am. This 4-day, 3-night stay just happened to coincide with a typhoon, and we received an early notification from the hotel which allowed us to prepare for the changes in our itinerary - a very thoughtful gesture.

The Hotel Indigo has a fabulous location in the middle of busy Shibuya not far from the famous Shibuya Crossing. Astonishingly, the hotel is quiet and relaxing and has a delightful roof terrace where they serve drinks and dinner. The guest rooms are very thoughtful designed and the king bedded room was a good size and very comfortable. Having just arrived in Tokyo after a long flight from the UK, we did not expect to sleep so well and feel so refreshed, so we were very pleasantly surprised. There are shops and cafes nearby and it is easy to find almost anything that you might want. The staff at the hotel and the hotel restaurant were extremely helpful and welcoming.

This is a hidden gem amongst all the others in Tokyo. I have stayed at the brand in other countries, so I knew to look for it. Located in Shibuya City and close to Shibuya Crossing it right in the middle of the action in this part of the city. It’s also tucked off of the Main Street so quiet and peaceful as well.

The hotel is new and modern. The staff was amazing from the front desk to the concierge to the restaurant. Every possible amenity was available, including in-house laundry service that was reasonably priced.

Finding the vehicle drop off area was the only challenge, but once that was figured out, we had an amazing stay. The rooms are similar in size to most Tokyo hotels, and worked well for two people.

The location in the heart of Shibuya couldn't be better - right by the stores and a short walk to the Scramble crossing and station. The property is new, and in good shape. My room was on the smaller side, but well furnished and well equipped. I had a mishap when I walked into the glass door of the gym - in bright sunlight and with the glass crystal clear it appeared that there was no door, and I ended up with a nasty bump on my head. They have said that they will put some kind of sticker on the door to prevent people from walking into it again, but do be careful when you go there. There was also a bit of a problem locating something that had been left for me with Reception. First they said that nothing had been left, but I insisted that it had and eventually the item was located and brought to my room. Staff are polite and helpful, but need a little more training to think out of the box.

I was hesitant to book this property due to mixed opinions; however my final decision was a big win I believed. My room was ready by 1am and Jane (the Taiwanese lady whom I had a chance to chat for a bit was truly a gem at this hotel. She was friendly, assistive and able to help us with our enquiries. Although there was no upgrade available (as nearly full), I was happy with my room as we went out most of the time. The room was new, colourful, and functional. I really loved this hotel. During breakfast, I was welcomed by a cute local host who took us around the venue and gave us a secluded table for privacy (as it was busy that time). Manako, our waitress was another gem of Hotel Indigo Shibuya. She kept offering us juice and coffee seeing our cups empty. When I complimented of the meal in Japanese, she asked us to say that in our language (totally appreciated her extra efforts). When check out, Jane again made sure that we would arrive at the correct entrance of the station. I enjoyed my stay at Shibuya, and would definitely come back next year.

Stayed four nights in late May 2024 at the Hotel Indigo. The hotel's location is really amazing. Short walk to the scramble and in the middle of the shops/restaurants of Shibuya. It was a fantastic home base for our exploration of Tokyo.

Front desk staff were very helpful and although our room was a bit small by western standards, it was thoughtfully laid out and very comfortable. The showers were great.

The coffee shop on the ground floor was also really good.
