This was our first visit to Japan and my wife and I were not so sure where to stay with so many options at this enormous city, but this was for sure a great choice. Rooms are super comfy with many bath ammenities and even a pijama. Tsuge and Akiama at front desk were so nice and helpful, hope this reaches them so they know what an excellent job they are doing.

This hotel, like many in Tokyo starts 20+ floors above street level, which makes for rooms isolated from street noise. And the rooms are very well appointed, with comfortable beds and linens, PAJAMAS, every toiletry item imaginable, black out curtains, a flashlight, and more. Located atop the Shiodom subway station is convenient for hitting a wide variety of tourist sites. Also there are LOTS of shops, restaurants, convenience stores, etc right there. The breakfast buffet was really quite good, with a wide variety of foods to choose from, plus you could select one of 3 "made to order" egg dishes for delivery to your table. We were very pleased to have spent our first 2 nights in Japan here. And we would happily do so again if we're back in Tokyo -- especially if flying into/out of Haneda Airport.

We stayed at the end of a 10 day hiking trip. Nice hot showers and laundry was available. Lots of washers available for laundry. Solid western breakfast buffet with options. Kinda close to a jr station. plenty of amenities in the room. The bar is expensive

Stayed in August 2023 with family in a Junior Suite. Entry to hotel is from the ground floor of the Shiodome Tower, where you can also find a Family Mart, access to the train and subway stations, and a variety of restaurants. The lobby is not so much a lobby as it is a front desk with limited seating area and bar. Upon arriving at 3pm for check-in, we were told that our room was not yet ready. We waited an additional 20-25 minutes before checking back in with reception. Luggage that is held by reception is kept in the lobby, though there are staff to watch over them. Our room was incredibly large, and was able to fit 3 beds, accompanying luggage, and much more with room to spare. Floor to ceiling windows occupy two sides of the room, and these windows give a view of Tokyo Tower in the distance as well as the bustling city below. The suite has pyjama sets and slippers, as well as a vanity mirror and bar area with coffee machine, sink and fridge. The bathroom was among the nicest I have ever seen in a hotel, with a large sink and mirror overlooking the ground below, shower/bathtub area with ample room, and toilet with bidet attachment partioned from main bathroom. Do note that there is no fan for the washroom, and it may get quite steamy after hot showers. Because our room had recently been cleaned, we could still smell the chlorine solution that was used to clean the bathroom. Unfortunately, there were some cleanliness issues with the room, with some staining on the floor, dust in drawers and closet, and chipped surfaces around the room. We also found a previous tenant's pills on the table and on the carpet. Breakfast is offered at the hotel, but we chose to transit 10-15 minutes to the Tsukiji Outer Market. Ginza is easilly walkable or can be reached by train. The hotel seemed busy and was popular with tourists, but we didn't feel like the hotel was overcrowded and we didn't have trouble with speaking to reception, booking taxis, or waiting for elevators. There was also a collaboration with Monster Hunter going on - a cool concept, and collaborations with other well-known artists/games would be an interesting way to boost traffic to the hotel. Despite the check-in situation and issues with cleanliness, we enjoyed our stay and would consider the Royal Park Hotel Shiodome for our next stay. 4.4/5 stars for location and room quality.

So happy to return to Shiodome (repeat offender). This was my first visit to Royal Park Iconic and I was not disappointed. As the area is familiar to me, I felt immediately at home. Whilst it is a busy hotel, everything runs smoothly and I found my room (#3617) to be perfect, overlooking the Sumidagawa and the Hama-rikyu Gardens. The area is brilliant as it's located close to both Shimbashi and Shiodome stations - a choice of transport between subways and JRs. Ginza is a short walk away, eateries and shops aplenty on the Shiodome-Site. Cab from Haneda can be anywhere from Y7200 - Y9800 if you don't want to take the monorail and change for JR at Hamamatsucho Station (JR line). Back to the hotel itself. I found it charming as I walked down the hall to my room that the lights came on in the hallway - also the TV turns on as I walked into my room. I loved the fact that there was a "fresh air vent" in my room also (one cannot open the window). The air-conditioning was perfect - indiscernible noise (and I hate air-con; no problems with the free Wi-Fi. The bathroom was super - a great bath (bath salts available as part of the amenities supplied) or a shower (close off the bathroom area - you will get the hang of it). What is NOT easy to get the hang of is the loo, but I have always found this given 50 odd years of travelling to Japan. Just don't go pressing unnecessary buttons is all that I can say and tempting 'though it might be!!!!. After a hard day's tootling about (and it was really hot whilst I was visiting) might I commend the hotel bar? I could not fault their most excellent Mojitos, a drink about which I am particularly fussy. Another great feature is the guest laundry (26th floor) if you are not minded paying extortionate hotel prices for laundry. This was great, plenty of machines available, clothes not ruined and Y600 for wash and dry. (The washer and dryer are the same machine, so no mucking around changing machines). I returned to the Royal Park Iconic again two weeks later after a touring around other parts of Japan (this second time room 3421) and the same exceptional service from front counter and concierge (they kept my larger luggage and did their best to obtain a late check out for me, ahead of return home - thanks here to Yamada-San). The only negative I could say about my otherwise wonderful stay was breakfast at the hotel. For a basic breakfast, Y2500, it was not great at all (sorry!!) and one can breakfast easily in other places nearby.

We stayed in a premium floor suite… perfect for the three of us, although we were all in the same room with 3 beds next to each other… very comfortable room with great views. The only issue I had with this hotel was breakfast - it really was quite low quality. They also have a silly voucher system - you need to bring them along… once had the head waiter tried to charge for one breakfast because I only had two out of three vouchers with me (he relented when he checked his system)… annoying when you pay more than 600 usd for a night’s stay. The hotel location is, perhaps, slightly far away from some of the more interesting areas (like Harajuku and Shibuya)… be prepared to take the metro or taxis. It is however close to Ginza. Fair number of good sushi restaurants around half a kilometre away.

Our first time to stay here and we booked a junior suite room for 3 of us. Room is clean, spacious and we got a very good room with amazing windows’ views from 2 sides to see Tokyo from above. Reception staffs are friendly and helpful. They have allowed us to store our 3 luggages as we are planning to go back to this hotel again after 3 days. Breakfasts were good.

A good hotel for striking that balance between ammenities, location, and price. I stayed for 9 nights and was more than happy with the hotel. It can be a little hard to find, but the taxis will eventually get you there. Great location!!! The Shinbashi area is amazing and there is a huge range of bars, restaurants, convenience stores, cafes etc within walking distance. It is also next to a rail hub which makes it perfect getting around Tokyo easily and quickly. The rooms are OK. Very clean but as normal in Tokyo, a little on the small side. Bed was comfy and shower was hot and strong. All the amenities you’d expect (iron, safe, toiletries). The desk and seated area was not practical and made it hard to work effectively from the room. This is probably my only real concern for this hotel. Breakfast is a little overpriced and nothing spectacular. Eating outside the hotel is highly recommended. The bar is very overpriced particularly when you consider all the great cheaper bars surrounding the hotel. Staff are good but their English is not great and I think this resulted in getting some pretty bad local advise and directions. Google maps is your best friend in Tokyo. I’ll be using this hotel again and highly recommend.

Excellent location, friendly staff. A bit small rooms but the views were superb! The area is beautiful and very well connected with a near metro station. The weekend breakfast were amazing! From Haneda Airport we took the metro rail and connected with the metro. I’ll be happy to go back :)

My husband accidentally booked a sister hotel but Sarasa Koga helped us cancel the reservation and book us into a beautiful room with an incredible view. She couldn’t have been nicer or more patient. It was a busy time but she never forgot about us. All the staff were so nice. This was a great place to launch our adventures in Tokyo!!
