Terrific newish hotel in the top 4 floors of an office building. About 320 t0 30 minute walk to Shibuya, Ginza or Harajuku or 2 minutes to the metro station. The metro is easy to use as instructions are in a lot of lanuages and you can pay with coins, notes or cards.
We paid a little extra and were in a larger corner room with 180 degree views. Free generous minibar refilled each day. Staff were tops. There is a Japanese restaurant on the second floor which is independent of the notel. Excellent and fair prices.
Breakfast was part of our package and it well above average.
If you have bags or cant handle stairs ask the taxi to go into the basement from where you access the hotel with ease
Tokyo is not cheap but I will certainly be back here

Just spent 6 nights at The Aoyama Grand and I would say that it was definitely a nice place to come back to after wandering all day around Tokyo.
The hotel is quite new and the location is amazing since the Ginza Line metro stops literally around the corner, and also you can easily walk to many parts of the city like Omotesando and Harajuku. Plenty of food options and convenience stores in the area.
We stayed in a Standard Queen Room on the 18th floor with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the city. The room was quite tiny but super clean, with an edgy design, lovely views and a huge bathroom with both a walk-in shower and a bathtub. We were far from the elevator but honestly couldn’t hear a thing so if you’re a light sleeper you’ll be fine.
In our rate we got a fully stocked mini bar AND breakfast included, which was definitely a plus. Mini bar is packed with water, snacks and a nice selection of alcoholic beverages, and is replenished daily. There’s also a Nespresso machine with different pods to choose from. One thing I didn’t love was the mattress, I found it too hard for my taste.
Our breakfast was served at the Belcomo restaurant downstairs and we had a Breakfast Set with appetizer, yogurt, coffee, juices and we could also choose one main dish.. I’m more like a coffee + pastry person so I’ve found the portions to be very generous.
We also tried the Belcomo for some pre-dinner cocktails and we liked the lively atmosphere and also the Negronis were good and well priced.
There are other dining options on site, a Japanese restaurant, an Italian restaurant on the top floor and the Aoyama branch of the Michelin starred sushi Kanesaka. Unfortunately the rooftop bar was closed for the winter season but I think it’s a nice place to go to when it gets warmer.
We had our New Years Eve dinner at the Aoyama Sushi Kanesaka on the 19th floor and it was really good: obviously not cheap since this is a high end restaurant, but top notch quality.
If I had to find something I didn’t like, I would say that I would like to have some kind of in-room dining options during the night since the only thing they offer is Cup Noodles and that’s pretty weird considering they have many restaurants on site. Also the restaurants close quite early in the evening, I don’t know if it was because of the holiday season but one night I was told that at The Belcomo they weren’t accepting more orders (it was like 9:15 PM).
Anyway, great service everywhere, everyone was always smiling and welcoming.
I would be back.

Thank you so much for staying with us and giving us such a warm message here. We hope your stay here was comfortable and had a wonderful time on New Year season. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your room with the view, comlimentary mini bar, and facilities like bathroom. Regarding the mattress, we are sorry for it does not fit you, and we have prepared a matress topper which soften your bed based on your opinion, and we believe that it may help you with somehow. It is ashame that there was not a chance for you to visit our rooftop bar, but we believe that you will like it and we are looking forward to welcoming you next time. Thank you so much for your comment on room service as well. We have looked through this, and we have already add various options for midnight room service. If there is any chance to come back to Tokyo, we are more than welcome to serving you again in the near future!

The service is that of a 6 star hotel. They were attentive, kind, professional and friendly. Every hotel should learn a few things from the staff at The Aoyama Grand. Masa from the front desk went above and beyond for us. Arranging restaurant reservations, transportation and so much more. He is management worthy and made our trip incredibly special.

The rooms are spacious and a Twin Suite was more than adequate for two people without being crowded. The living room space makes it great for people who sleep at different hours. The mini bar which was included in our room was outstanding with soft drinks, juices, water and alcohol. The mini bar was stocked daily and we still can’t believe it was included in the room rate. The bathrooms are large with double sinks and style shower and bath were heavenly. The baths are equipped with toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, shampoo, conditioner, a complete skincare kit, razors, shaving cream and even epson salts for a soak! The thought of everything!

The location was amazing, plenty of walkable places to go without being in the middle of it. 5 min cab ride to Shabuya or 15 min walk, 10 min walk to otomotosando shopping and 15 min cab ride to Ginza. We cannot wait to go back.

The restaurant was phenomenal and you must try the pancakes and High Tea!

We stayed a week at this hotel . I used to work near here but didn’t know that this place became a hotel . It’s a perfect location to visit many places. Walking distance to Harajuku - Omotesando , only 2 stops to Shibuya by tube ( Ginza line ) also Ginza & Asakusa are on the Ginza line. Gaienmae station is nearby from the hotel . By taxi , Roppongi is not far .
We booked a Superior room which has a relaxing seating area with city view also well equipped bathroom with wardrobe space .
Free drinks ( included in a room rate ) with enough water service from the fridge . It was a totally comfortable stay .
Hotel has 4 restaurants and a rooftop bar . So you can enjoy different restaurants at the hotel .
Also it has a nice terrace at the Belcomo restaurant & bar . ( there was a multi tenants building called Bell Commons previously , oddly most of taxi drivers didn’t know the hotel but knows Bell Commons)
All staff are pleasant and tried to accommodate your request . It’s a different from chain hotels and large luxury hotels but it has a certain charm with character.

We have stayed in Aoyama Grand for a week and were extremely satisfied with our stay. The rooms were nice and the included mini bar was a great feature. The staff, even if not everyone was good in English, was extremely helpful and friendly. The location was very much convenient, with metro just 2 minutes away, a bakery in the same house and supermarket in just 20 meters. We haven't tried a restaurant which seems to be quite popular since it was every day crowded. We had breakfast only once and honestly speaking it was to expensive for what you get, but we are not a breakfast people anyway. The only negative thing I can mention is that there is absolutely no storage space in the room. No drawers and the wardrobe space in a bathroom very small. The room was big enough to provide the necessary space for storage, bathroom was huge. We wished the bathroom was half size but with enough drawers instead. We started our 4 weeks trip in this hotel and had 3 suitcases with us. We had no chance to pack out so living out of the suitcase for a week can be quite annoying. But, it would be fair to say, this is a problem with almost all hotels in Japan.

I stayed 2 nights at the Aoyama Grand, and found it to be quite a mixed bag.

The location is excellent and the main reason to stay there: walking distance from some of the most vibey areas in Tokyo, and close to lots of shops and restaurants.

But the price was crazy high for the quality of the rooms, and the rooms also seem to be very variable. I had to switch due to high occupancy and a last minute booking, and my first room (1910) was interior-facing and felt quite dark and a bit cramped. My second room (1804) was a little better and had a view, but still didn’t come close to justifying the price in my opinion.

I went to the bar on the 4th floor for a quick cocktail, the bar was empty, but the manager sent me to the rooftop bar on the 20th floor mentioning that the experience was exceptional.
3 people, 1000JPY was added as a table charge per person, 3000 JPY total plus a 10% service charge, a rip off.
The roof top doesn't have a view as it is surrounded by shrubs and tree, nothing exceptional there.

This is a great hotel in a convenient location that is not as crazy expensive as some in the area but offers an excellent experience. The food in all of the hotel’s restaurants is delicious (we dined a the izakaya, had breakfast at the top level, and lunched at the resto-bar by the lobby - try the pancakes!) and the service was exceptional. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a high end hotel experience in Tokyo.

Fantastic boutique hotel located right by Gaiemmae station. The rooms are modern and elegant. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a great meal at the Belcomo restaurant downstairs, and there is also a lovely Italian restaurant on the top floor. When I return I hope to try Kanesaka sushi which is also located in the hotel. This is a relatively new hotel so it doesn’t have as many reviews as some of the others nearby, but don’t be fooled, it is absolutely one of the best places to stay in Tokyo.
