Very charming atmosphere, absolutely quite area, cooling down for the daily life. All people are very friendly and helpful, the service in the restaurant excellent while providing the tasty food. Our small house bosco does provide everything you need , but it is really small and for huge persons maybe too enter the shower :-) All overall it was a very pleasant stay which ended with a personal accident ( brocken foot, but also in this chaotic situation the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating.
Fantastic day, beautiful Spa, lovely complimentary yoghurt, after a wonderful dinner with very well cooked tuscan food, surprisingly fine wines- all produce of the farm! Wonderful! We will definitely return with friends to impress!
After our stay in August 2017, we again stayed at La Cerreta this August 2018, happy to recharge ourselves in this quiet agriturismo in the hilly forests southeast of Bolgheri. There is a spa on site as well as a fully-working farm so there is a bit for everyone according to their inclinations. The spotty mobile phone coverage (and no wi-fi in the rooms) means that we could truly relax and not be clinging to our smarphones, instead wading in the thermal pool, walking around the farm and vineyards or just sitting on the deckchairs trying to guess what would be for dinner that night at the farm-to-table restaurant. The quiet and secluded location requires driving through winding hill roads up from the Bolgheri plain
Podere La Cerreta is really a beautiful place, nest in nature and perfect if you want to relax, eat well and healthy and eventually even explore the area a bit. The personnel is very nice. Only one negative note: their concept is "natural at all cost" ("biodinamic"), so they do not use chemical around the property, and that is great, but ... Come on... They could at least anti-bug screens at the windows!!! The property is litterally filled at all time with fierce bugs that caused my family a very bad allergic reaction. I think they should assess the issue and find a solution. Until they do, I will never go back in the summer, because that problem ruined our vacation.
Found this little gem in the Lonely Planet Guide to Tuscany and Florence. We decided to visit here for my boyfriends birthday. It was a lovely way to spend the day, so relaxing and tranquil. The staff are friendly and accommodating, it's pretty reasonably priced too - EUR35 for 4 hours, you have to wear a swimming cap (if you have hair), which you can buy for EUR2 or rent for free. Would love to go back there! You can also have a nice lunch until about 2.30 in the restaurant, if it's after that time you can still have a bite to eat, which we did, cold meats and cheese and a lovely bottle of wine!
