We LOVE Meze Maison! After many visits over many years, this four-night stay was our first in the newly created, stylish one-bedroom, ground-floor apartment. Renovated to the highest standard and decorated with sophisticated style, it offers all you need for an extended stay. There's even a washing machine tucked into the closet by the front door. It's super well-located--just a block from centre ville and a short walk to the the port. And the glorious chateau park is across the street. But here's the best part--the delightful and caring owners, Rob and Jason. Your stay is their top priority. They provide the warmest of welcomes, offer a plethora of insiders tips, and if you're lucky--and if Mother Nature cooperates--you might be able to book their boat for a ride around the lagoon--brilliant!

Our family rented all 4 rooms and therefore had exclusive use of Meze Maison for the first week of August. It is a superb property perfectly situated in the delightful town of Meze on the saltwater lagoon in the Languedoc between Montpellier and Beziers. The house has been renovated to a very high standard and beautifully decorated, giving it very much the feel of a small luxury boutique hotel with: stunning main living room with super comfy sofa and chairs to relax in after a day at the beach and open plan dining area and kitchen with several sets of French doors to open and let the warm breeze in, beautiful bedrooms with large modern showers, stand alone bathtubs, effective air-conditioning, a roof terrace with outdoor shower off one of the rooms that the teenage children loved, Nespresso machines in every room and fully stocked wine fridge in the kitchen! The owners, Rob and Jason, were extremely welcoming and very helpful in booking taxis (to and from Beziers airport and Sete for an evening out) and restaurants for the week. They even took us out one day on their boat to an amazing oyster and mussel restaurant - the best seafood we have ever eaten! Meze is a traditional small town with lovely square with a twice weekly outdoor market, fantastic harbour area with at least a dozen restaurants serving excellent food. The saltwater lagoon is famous for its oyster beds. Either side of the harbour are family-friendly beaches with warm shallow water, perfect for easy swimming and beach games. The house is perfectly located, only 50 yards from the town square and an easy 5 minute stroll through pretty, quiet streets to the harbour and beaches. We had a fantastic and very relaxing week at Meze Maison - I would highly recommend it and we hope to return to enjoy this delightful part of France.

Our three night stay at Meze Maison was all too brief and was everything and more than we could have hoped for. The house was beautifully styled with views to the town chateau and the sunrise in the distance. So stylish but a place we felt at home from the moment Rob opened the door and welcomed us in. Meze is a gem. Unpretentious, laid back and rooted. The old town has wonderful streets to wander through as you walk down to the beaches on the bassin or to the restaurants surrounding the port. There is a superb cycle path from Meze northwards to a lagoon where flamingos can be sighted. From there you can cycle the full 60kms around the bassin. We will be back!

Third year in a row for us visiting Mèze and third visit to Mèze Maison. Superb accommodation, superb hosting, superb location. Your hosts have an extensive local knowledge and can suggest a huge array of restaurants, attractions and destinations. Easy parking for those on a road-trip and easy to find when arriving for the first time. We cannot think of a single flaw on any of our visits.
