This is a wonderful hotel at the edge of a lake. Ask for a lakeview room, you will not regret the decision. There is a lot of wildlife at the lake and you are able to view it all right from your window. Some rooms have balconies that you can step out on and enjoy the view. My room happened to be upgraded to a suite as they ran out of the room type I reserved. So I had way more then I expected when I arrived. Rooms are comfortable and beds are very typical European. They were clean and comfortable. There are shops and services available a short walk from the hotel. The restaurant serves a daily breakfast and it is delicious. There are lots of choices and everything tastes fresh. Dinner is available most nights but you must make a reservation. We ate dinner one night when we were tired and the food was very good - the service was excellent. We were all very happy with our meal experience that night. The hotel is decorated nicely (we were there in mid-December) and is spacious. There is even a small bowling alley in the hotel. If you need anything just ask. The hotel was able to help me get a taxi in the very early morning hours to catch a flight. They also could cover the taxi fare as they wanted cash and just charged it to my room. Anytime I needed anything or had questions they were happy to help, even if that mean a small language barrier or needing to call other colleagues and find the answer. The only part I didn't understand is that my room would not be cleaned daily. I wasn't clear on that at check-in so I was a bit surprised during my stay.. I take part responsibility as I really can't speak German. So I wasn't able to read signs very well if it was explained there. But honestly it was not that big a deal for me and had there been a big problem I could have just asked for help at the desk - I'm sure they would have helped me out. I very much hope to return to this hotel in the future. I am already hoping we have an event there next year at this time and I can visit the hotel again.…
The rooms are large, and if you have a room with a lake view, then the outlook is fantastic. For a 4-star hotel, the rooms are lacking in amenities and no air con. The breakfast was good although the staff do not smile. There is no bar in the evenings but you can order drinks from what feels like a kitchen counter.
We spend last weekend at this hotel and enjoyed a jolly good time. the bath room was newly refurbished, the room very clean and spacious. a fruit basket and two bottles of mineral water were provided free of charge. breakfast and service at the restaurant were excellent. the staff were extraordinary friendly and helpful. all in all a perfect stay. moreover, a marveilous lake view.
After a two hour walk through the forest, it was a welcome sight to arrive at the Seehotel for lunch. Despite not having reserved a table the waitress was so friendly and helpful, she quickly found me a table on the open verandah, which was very pleasant under a sunshade. I ordered a cold plate with meats and bread and also a beer. It was very refreshing and I enjoyed the atmosphere. It was difficult to become motivated to walk back to Blankenfelde after the lunch!! I did enjoy my lunch at Seehotel Rangsdorf
Went to this hotel as no other available, hotel room was average but I was also not facing the lake and had some other building looking into my room. I had two meals during my stay and they were excellent. Bar wasn't open either so if you wanted a drink you had to sit in the restaurant. The hotel is out the way so you need a car but I can imagine it being lively in the summer around the hotel.
Excellent place to stay for a night or more. Especially if you start very early somewhere in Latvia. After newerending Poland, you'll love this hotel. 24-hour reception, 5 minutes drive from the highway, very (!) comfortable mattresses, Babor cosmetics set in a bathroom. And finally, it's quite. Breakfast was good too. Fabulous views from restaurant to the Lake. Will be back for sure.
Fantastic quiet place in a remote village. But would love it when you are there. Villagers have lake baths. Also migrant birds come for a break on there way to Africa. Plenty of sailing clubs. Nice walks. Must pick the rooms facing the lake on the top floor
This Hotel is facing a lake on one side and a carpark on the other. The side towards the lake is great. You hear the geese, you see the sunset and it's beautiful. The food is good and delicious served - but menu is a bit limited. For one or two nights - thats not a problem... Enjoy
I stayed in this hotel for a friend's wedding and it did not disappoint. The location is beautiful, with a huge, glittering lake, forest trails and a cute little beach, complete with beer garden. My only complaint about the rooms is that they would have benefited from built-in air conditioning rather than one electric fan as the heat made it difficult to sleep. The food in the restaurant is absolutely delicious, as is the complimentary breakfast (which is full of variety), and the price of food and drink in general is lower than many hotels I've stayed in. Rowing out to the lake in a rented boat, the price of which was again low, was blissful. Rangsdorf itself it a lovely town, full of character and with good restaurants and transport links to the airport and capital city. I fell in love with the place and will definitely return.…
The Seebad Casino goes back a long way, but after the German reunification, it was rebuilt. It is a wonderful place to go now, especially in late Spring or Summer. The rooms are spacious and bright. Do not accept a room facing the back - that is just a car park. But the rooms facing the lake have balconies and wonderful views with little boats being lit up at night. I have been to this hotel several times and recently the reception has much improved. We much appreciate the no-smoking policy, especially in the restaurant. The breakfast offers anything you might wish, including smoked salmon. On one of the Sundays they ran out of rolls - that should not happen. At night the restaurant seems to close early when no one is in there. The coffee terrace outside is lovely but can be very busy on a nice day. We did not make use of the Wellness Centre, but it is there if you want it.…
