We visited for four nights for the annual Bocelli concert and had a wonderful stay. Our hard-working hosts were charming and kind, making every guest feel at home.

The hotel is well located in a very quiet area, just a 2 to 3 minutes walk from shops and restaurants. Parking is provided onsite at no cost.

The complimentary buffet breakfast was generous, high quality, and varied, with multiple types of local hams and cheeses, boiled eggs, an extensive range of fresh bread and croissants, multiple cakes and tarts, fresh fruit and juices, yogurt, and an endless supply of cappuccino and espresso served by the friendly and attentive staff.

Visiting during the heat wave, we appreciated that the bedroom was well air-conditioned and the minifridge was stocked with still and sparkling water! For me, a hotel bathroom also has to hit the important notes, and it did with instant hot water, strong shower pressure, and a good supply of high-quality towels, shampoo, and soap.

The swimming pool is in a luxuriantly landscaped and bucolic garden with comfortable furniture, including loungers, tables & chairs, and sun umbrellas. As a bonus, the strong WiFi is usable at the pool, which allowed me to sneak in the odd hour of work while sipping a cappuccino or cold drink!

This hotel is a hidden jewel, and the hospitality and value for money are quite unbelievable.

We stayed here as part of a Tuscan self guided cycle tour where the accommodation was booked for us. We started and finished our tour of the region here and so stayed two nights.
It was without doubt the best place we stayed in Tuscany and the best place we have stayed in Worldwide travel for a long time.
The hotel is owned by a lovely couple who have had the hotel in their family for generations. They dearly love and care for the hotel and it’s business and it shows. They went out of their way to help and advise us with anything we needed and found a place to keep our bike boxes while we were here n our tour. It is a beautiful hotel with so much history and is a brilliant place to relax by the pool or in the beautiful gardens or in the communal spaces inside as well as use as a base for seeing the local villages, towns and surrounding region. The breakfast was lovely with fresh made bread and other produce.
We were so pleased that we found this place. It is special, as are the family that run it. We will most certainly be back. We highly recommend this for a relaxing place to stay and a great place from which to explore beautiful Tuscany.

Lovely hotel, family run. A very warm welcome awaited us at this charming hotel in the little town of Casciana Terme about 20 mins drive from Lajatico Tuscany. Great location for 40 min drive to Sienna, hour to Florence. We were here for the Bocelli concert July 2023 as were numerous other visitors to the hotel. Nice clean pool with plenty of Loungers. Good breakfast and a special mention to the jolly breakfast waiter. Giovanna is a wonderful hotel manager and nothing was too much trouble. She creates a very friendly atmosphere and is genuinely interested in where we had visited and where we intend to visit, giving helpful advice and suggestions. This hotel is a gem in the middle of Tuscany and ideal for both families, couples and solo travellers. The town itself albeit small, has some good restaurants, thermal springs opposite the hotel and a small Carrefour, tabac and pharmacy.

We stayed here for a week in June and it was simply heaven. This is a privately owned hotel in a peaceful but active village which is perfect for those seeking a quiet break. The hotel is beautifully maintained, spacious clean rooms, big towels, comfy beds. The gardens and pool are a delight but the real bloom is Giovanna who runs the hotel. She has the most engaging manner. She loves to see that her guests are happy and does all she can from finding the cherry festival in Lari for my husband to going to the pharmacy for another guest. The visit is worth it just to meet her!
Try one of her inspirational lunches in the garden. Leave it to her and you won't be disappointed. See if they have any of their own wine available- lovely. We are already planning next years visit.

Very comfortable and reasonably priced hotel. Secure on property parking and a very friendly staff. Nice large rooms, comfortable beds. Good breakfast. This family run hotel welcomes you and reflects the warm hospitality of Italy. Giovanna speaks many languages and she is most helpful, friendly and charming.

The hotel is used as a base by a UK bike tour specialist. It has a large car park and safe bike storage as well as a large swimming pool which i think is solar heated only. The rooms are basic but very clean. We were given a room on an external mezzanine which had a terrace with a views across the hills to the south, aside from 3 rooms on this mezzanine, none appeared to have external access.

We didnt eat in in the evening but breakfast was very good. The hotel owner is a lovely lady, Claudia, who was very welcoming and helpful.

Casciana is something of a strange town with most visitors there for the thermal baths, but there is a limited choice of restaurants and shops. Albergo Roma makes a good base for exploring this part of Tuscany.

Its no wonder a certificate of excellence has been awarded to this hotel as the reviews are spot on. Albergo Roma is a charming, little Tuscan oasis of calm providing accommodation and service of the very best kind. Beautifully maintained throughout, spacious comfortable bedrooms, kingsize beds, immaculate bathrooms and the pool and gardens are absolutely perfect for spending a relaxing day before wandering into the serene village of Casciana Terme for an evening meal. However the real gem is Giovanna who tirelessly yet graciously oversees the whole operation from first thing in the morning until last thing at night- and from our experience -that was usually not until the early hours of the next day!!! Always there to ensure you have everything you need be it at breakfast for that speciality coffee or throughout the day for advice on where best to visit or for a glass of their own excellent wine. She certainly has a gift of remembering to chat to the varying nationality guests in their respective language and yet she is not obtrusive!!! if you are unsure of where to stay in this area - look no further - you will not be disappointed!!!

I read reviews about this hotel and its staff and I was a bit sceptical, but, they were all correct. Albergo Roma is just perfect. The building is steeped in history, the staff, especially Giovanna, are lovely. It's not a hotel for party animals. The guests are, in the main senior citizens, visiting the Terme. The hotel is peaceful, beautifully maintained. Lovely traditional rooms, with fridge and spotlessly clean. The pool is perfect. Beautifully maintained and private. We lunched in the hotel- simple fresh food, own tomatoes, pecorino cheese, salads, fresh crusty bread - delicious. Home baked cakes- lovely.
If you want peace and quiet in a welcoming friendly hotel , this is the one.just across the street is the village square where we dined al fresco each night watching the world stroll by. Just loved the whole experience.

We simply cannot say enough about this wonderful Hotel - it is a gem!!! We stayed here for four nights while attending the Bocelli concert and we were made immediately at home - Italian Hospitality at its finest! From the moment we checked in, Giovanni took care of our every need - making special lunches, reservations, packing a picnic for the concert, organizing coach transfers and making sure we had everything we needed. The Hotel was perfect in every way - a little oasis with wonderful garden and pool, a quiet respite in the lovely town of Casciana. The rooms are large, the beds are comfortable, the linens are lovely - the staff are fantastic -what could be more perfect ? Thank you for your wonderful hospitality Giovanna - we will see you soon again!

Can you tell me how far you are from the main attractions in Pisa? Also do you offer an airport transfer service? Thanks
Answer from Lucinda London

Hi, I agree with JohnyHSur, it's not far to Pisa but not much in the way of public transport visible. I think you'd have to get a cab if you don't rent a car.
