Recently stayed in one of the cottage they manage, and I feel bad for the owners. We got to the cottage to find many amenities out of order, recycling garbage bin over filled and just disappointed overall by the low quality of somethings, for the price we payed. As we arrived, we contacted les Chalets Alpins to inform them that the AC unit was not working, they told us that they would come to have a look at it, they did not show up at all during our stay. Before we departed, we made sure to thoroughly clean the cottage, but they still decided to charge us over 200$ for a stain on the pool table which we did not even use, that was already there went we arrive and two missing pillow which we did not take. We contacted the managing group to be told the manager is on vacation until the end of the month and until she gets back nothing can be done. PS: If you are to stay under their management, don't forget to pack toilet paper, because they only provide one roll per bathroom.

The amounts they charge you for things like a small stain in a pillow or taking the duvet out of its covers are unreasonable. 50 $ plus taxes for each of those things! Why are you in this business? It seems to me they look for the smallest reason to charge your credit card once you leave. I was happy to see other reviews in Google stating the same, I thought it was only me who thought this was sincerely outrageous.

After spending our 3rd time at Chalets Alpins, and our second in this particular Chalet (I'm 99.9 % sure we stayed here back in 2016/2017 for my 50th) I thought that I should write a review. I will list the Pros and Cons only concerning this Chalet and not the entire resort. PROS 1) Check in and Check out...Perfect 2) This Chalet has an amazing view 3) Very private in the back, which is nice as the Hot Tub, Sauna and Fire pit is back there. 4) Chalet is very spacious 5) The deck over looking the mountain is very spacious 6) Out door firepit is a bonus, along with the Adirondack Chairs 7) Price of wood is reasonable, you get a good 10 logs, 5 pieces of Kindling and a Fire Starter CONS 1) Had to wait close to 3 hours before the fellow arrived to fix some of the issues we had 1a) Couldn't get the sauna going, but then again, when there are knobs missing it's hard to tell which button does what 1b) Indoor propane fireplace, again couldn't get it going, again knobs were missing, the fellow had to take it completely a part to get it going, told me it's because it hasn't been running since the winter. Maybe, make sure it works before people stay in the Chalet, knowing that it was going down to 0 even -1 at night 1c )Out door HOT TUB, after driving form Montreal to Stoneham, close to 4 hours, the only thing we wanted to do is get in the HOT TUB. Unfortunately only 1/4 of the Jets were working, meaning that only 1 person got to enjoy the HOT TUB, not the 2 of us at the same time. The fellow said the the pump was broken. I really wish they had of told us, because it was obvious that they already knew that it wasn't working properly. Maybe we still would have stayed in this Chalet , maybe not, I just wish they had given us the choice. The deck that the HOT TUB is on definitely needs to be changed as the HOT TUB is on an angle. Well, remember me saying that I was 99.9% sure that we had stayed in this particular Chalet, well I went back and looked at the review that I gave 4 years ago, guess what, the HOT TUB was broken then. When I called to complain about the HOT TUB not working on Thursday evening the receptionist gave me a choice of moving into another Chalet, both choices were not to our satisfaction as both chalets had the HOT TUB facing the street, not to private. The following morning, I called to let them know that we would stay in our Chalet and was very surprised that this receptionist did not want us to have a bad experience and deducted a certain amount off of our final bill, was so impressed we decided to stay another night . 2) Seeing as this Chalet has 30 stairs, it needs to be reinforced as half way up they start to sway from side to side 3) Coffee Machine Leaks, had to put a tray under it the whole time we were there, as we didn't want to get blamed for staining the counter. 4) The dryer needs at "least' 90 minutes before anything gets dry. So if your a family, with children and are skiing either bring 2 sets of Snow Suits or take that into consideration Couple of other things were noted while we were there, beside the front door there was a sheet of paper with general information They said that they left enough wood for our duration. Not a bag in site! They said they would give us paper bags for our Compost. Not a bag in site, we were there for 6 days, we would easily have filled 3. Now I know it was a beautiful weekend, weather wise, people like to get out and enjoy the beautiful Hiking Trail ( Sentier Hibou ). Saturday, I would say that there was over 50 cars in the parking lot going on the hiking trails. Unfortunately NOT A MASK IN SITE, NO SOCIAL DISTANCING now I know that this "shouldn't" be up to the resort to handle, but they should have someone at the beginning of the trail making sure that not EVERYONE goes up the trail at the same time, Sunday was worse I'm sure that there were over 100 cars. We didn't use the trail either one of those days as there were way to many people, we opted to go on Monday morning, guess how many cars ? NONE it was beautiful. Now, we are returning the Chalets Alpins in 2 weeks, we are not staying in the same Chalet. Hopefully, cross our fingers, we won't have any issues to contend with. We will continue going back up to Les Chalets Alpins and would HIGHLY recommend staying here, but until 11 Chemins Alpins fixes it's issuew, we will have to find another chalet to stay in, too bad, really do love that particular one

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The chalet was beautiful and very clean. The staff was friendly and courteous. The area of Stoneham is beautiful. Especially in the fall. It’s close to Quebec City. An excellent price. I highly recommend this place. Excellent!

My family spent 3 days in this chalet. Everybody love it : my parents, me - my wife, our kids. I love its location and ambiance. Old persons got their relax time. Kids enjoyed hot tub and table football. It should be better in winter.

Chalet Alpin are located 20 minutes easy drive on highway 73 from Quebec City, in the ski resort of Stoneham . The staff were very friendly an efficient. We had a beautiful chalet well maintained and spotless, with fully equipped kitchen, a fireplace, a pool table in its own room, a laundry room with washing machine, dryer, ironboard, iron and floor heater, jacuzzi, in one word :perfect ! It was summer so we did hiking around, several tracks right there and to very close La Jacques Cartier National Park. We had a perfect vacation and we will be back.

We had such a great experience last year, so we decided to return this year. We were a group of five families. We booked a chalet at the top of the mountain this year. We had a great view of the snow mountain. That day was extremely cold. We arrived early (before the check in time} and we were not the person who made the reservation. But the staff who just finished the inspection allowed us to get in first instead of waiting inside the car. That staff was also very helpful. He gave me suggestion on how to park the cars on a driveway with a steep slope. Overall the chalet was great, just like the photo we saw in the website. The place was clean and the beds were comfortable. The chalet had a outdoor hot tub. The staff came to remove the snow and cleaned the hot tub.

My family and I booked a trip this March break, looking forward to a getaway. We booked with Les Chalets Alpines with the impression that it would meet our fair standards. After a 10 hour drive from Nova Scotia, we got to the small village and did the steps outlined on the website. We paid our deposit and carried on with our day at the ski resort. We waited for the phone call knowing that our lodge may not be ready until 5:00 PM due to the March break. They informed us that if its ready sooner they will call us and we can come get our key. At 3:50 we received a call that our lodge was ready (the timing couldn't have been better because we were about to go enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, and our small kids were getting quite hungry) instead we could go enjoy our first dinner at the lodge! We received the keys and made our journey up to the top of the mountain, parked in our half plowed spot, unloaded our suitcases and headed into the lodge. We opened the door, and to our surprise the lodge had not yet been cleaned yet. The beds hadn't been made, the sheets greeted us on the floor at the door, and the smell of smoke almost took our breath away (not cigarette smoke, like a bon fire had taken place). I then called out to the rest of our family and told them to put their bags back in the car, that the lodge was in-fact not ready. The time now was 4:10 and we headed back down to the main office to inform them. They then made a quick phone call and let us know that they actually called us by accident and that our lodge wouldn't be ready for another 15-20 minutes. We also noticed on our way back down the hill that a boil order was in effect and that we were unable to drink the water, and would have to go to the local IGA to get bottled water. We expressed to the staff our frustrations when we returned to the main office and they felt "human error" was the culprit and said everyone makes mistakes, and that the water situation was out of their control. We got back to the lodge finally and waited for the cleaners to come out, an additional 5 minutes passed and the family waited in our vechicles until we saw the cleaners exit the lodge. Finally, learning 5:00 we could get in the lodge and cook dinner. We entered the lodge and the beds had been made this time thankfully, so we proceeded with our initial inspection which is what they ask you to do. Our first question was where on earth was this smoke smell coming from. We went upstairs to find a metal bucket of coals on the padio located off the living room. It was obvious that the renters before us had a bonfire on their patio, and the smoke was coming inside the building. Either that or something caught on fire inside and they brought it out onto the patio. (great environment for a my 4 year old who has asthma). The floors had not been mopped and were sticky from spills, the tables hadn't been wiped off and there were crumbs all over, the BBQ was absolutely disgusting, and the duvet covers were full of mysterious stains (good thing we are charged a cleaning fee...). We even found a piece of marijuana on the couch which was pretty entertaining. We decided we had to make the best of the situation and enjoy our family time together and almost make a mockery out of the less then great accommodations. We enjoyed our dinner together, we shared laughter watching each other attempt to cut our vegetables on a piece of cardboard and/or a glass plate due to the lack of kitchen supplies. That evening we contacted Steve (the assertive team-lead) and he informed us they were going to send the cleaning manager and they would make this right. The following morning we went to the ski hill and weren't available when he manager was making her rounds. We provided pictures to the main office so she could see what we were presented with. We enjoyed our day of skiing, the lift tickets and equipment rentals were pretty expensive (for a family of 4, the kids had their own ski equipment and were free for the bunny hill. we still managed to pay a steep $290). We knew for March break it would be expensive, and honestly the cost was never the issue, it was the quality we were seeking. The hills were great, the staff at the hill was friendly and very helpful. The second night we decided it would be pizza night, so we drove into town. (as they wouldn't answer our calls the following night..out of province number perhaps?) If your looking for a remotely good pizza, this is NOT the place your going to find it. Between the spaghetti sauce with carrots for the pizza sauce, and the 5 layers of meat, or the soggy crust because of the amount of grease, it certainly was less then enjoyable. For 2 large pizzas (pep and cheese/combo) and a small veggie pizza $79.00. (thats with no drinks and sauce). Back to the lodge! On the second morning my husband went out on the patio for a moment, he was smacked on the head with a piece of the metal door frame that came loose and fell on him. immediately the front office was called and they were quite responsive getting a repair man out. The rest of the trip was spent focusing on the family and put aside any mixed feelings about the facilities. The location was good if your looking to enjoy Valcartier Village, it was only a 25 minute drive. Don't make the mistake of driving to Tewkesbury as the tubing place was closed there during the break when we went. SO overall, we enjoyed ourselves because we got to spend it with family, but certainly no more then a 2.5-3 star for the overall conditions.

Me and my friends went to Stoneham thinking we were going to have fun skiing and spending time with each other. But all hopes were ruined when the owner of the place pressured us by calling us five times, showing up at the front door in the morning etc. He was being paranoid and thought we were going to mess up his property because we’re just « kids », but does this give him the right to threaten us by telling us he hired a security guard to watch his house while WE were renting it. We felt powerless and didn’t understand his behavior. We were disappointed as you can imagine because we put a lot of effort and money into this trip and because of the owner, it almost got ruined. So basically if you’re planning on having fun with your friends or family i highly recommend you to look elsewhere.

As a result of your last year's bookings our security team was aware to stay alert toward your student association group. After your departure in 2017, we had over 3000$ damage in one of our biggest cottage and many extra cleaning to do in most of the units. Despite this, we accepted your resquest to book 17 cottages and condos this year. You have taken the responsibility to inform your group that it is forbidden to do partys and that the rules will have to be clearly respected this year. During your stay, we had the information that a party was planned in one of the cottages. Our security team made sure this wasn't to happen by reminding you your commitments taken at the confirmation of the bookings. This was all discussed with you at your departure. After your departure, and despite all the remindings, we had complaints from some of your neighbors. And our team had many extra cleaning to do in most of the units. Our facilities are not suitable for the kind of parties you do and we understand that you are telling social media readers that this is the way it is. Best regards, Les Chalets Alpins

Honestly, we went there and we were so excited but from the beginning we were talked to badly and we got so stressed out, which obviously wasn't the goal of this trip... we didn't get to do half of what we wanted to do since we were basically accused of doing something we weren't. In summary, I wouldn't recommend if you're not going there to do snow activities...
