Detailed Reviews
This Hotel is placed at a central Location. You can find Restaurants nearby .
During my stay, their restaurant was under renovation process.
But, It did not bother me much as i had a very easy access to Tea stalls and Good Restaurants with Good Food .
I had booked their premium room which had offered a ganga view, The hotel does not have a lift so elderly people might have some issues using stairs.
One should ask for Rooms on upper side of the hotel for a view.
I had a family trip and we were completely satisfied all together.
Now coming to the things which I did not like.
While entering the receptionist behaves very rudely with the guests she was not even helpful with my queries .
I guess with this attitude, She is not at all fit for handling a front desk in a Hotel.
Secondly who ever is staying in this hotel please check if they have been given room no 109, as thats the most unsafe room for a female guest.
When you enter the washroom the exhaust has an opening which opens in their storage room , where the boys have an easy access all the time to pick hotel stuff.
I felt really unsafe as anybody can see you through that open exhaust hole.
So , i=I had to change my room.
Rest, a good hotel with good service and good access to all the imp places.
Must visit.
A special Thanks to MANOJ RANA & his team, whos has helped us while our stay in whatever way possible.
Anybody staying in this hotel can ask for him, he is a nice boy with a helpful approach, always ready to serve with a smile.

I went here on Aug 1 with my friends Rehan and Nikhil. These guys are awesome. Didn't catch any problem while reaching the hotel as it is a famous one and also near the railway station. Reached there in the morning time where Mr.Ishan hosted us very sweetly. He also ordered a coffee from his side for us( our faces were very tired). We had online booked via their website the hotel so one guy from their staff carried our luggage to our rooms. You will not believe but the view of the Laxman jhula took all our tiredness away and we just ate our breakfast and went out to visit nearby attractions. Came back in the late evening and sat in the common area for a while. The music was so much relaxing, Dinner was really very tasty and worth it of money. Overall a very budget-friendly hotel and had a peaceful stay.

Excellent stay with great location and very humble and personalised attention by Ravi. The cafe next door which is a part of the hotel offers great menu, tasty food, always busy with people and great interiors. The Manager of the Cafe Ravi is very versatile and makes excellent mocktails. He is all on all. The hotel’s location just next to Ganges flow so one can just walked down and take bath sitting on the rocks.

Stayed with family in May'22 in Ganga facing room. The view from the room with Lakshaman Zula and the Ganga river is awesome.
The location of the hotel is very close to Lakshaman Zula, and with that comes to all hustle and bustle of the city - the crowded narrow road makes it difficult to drive up to the hotel. The hotel does not provide parking so you need to park at nearby paid parking which charges Rs 200/day.
Now as Lakshaman Zula is closed, there is not much to do at that location, so all action has shifted to other areas of the city. There is a traditional market nearby, which is good for strolling and window shopping.
Room sizes are good but the hotel does not have a lift - so if you have a senior citizen or disabled person then you might want to rethink. Also when we were there, some construction work was going on so it was a bit noisy at times (even at night). We also had monkeys barging into our room a couple of times and creating a mess.
The restaurant has a limited menu ( breakfast only has 3-4 items, no cut fruits, etc) and service is a bit slow. I also felt it was overpriced. The ambiance and the crowd of the hotel are great though.

The hotel is basic and comfortable with good views, but our suite on the top floor had a very shaded balcony, unlike the cheaper rooms which had full view balconies.
As soon as we arrived we were hassled by the room boy, to take a scooter from him for 400 rupees, in the end we ended up taking it, but the brakes did not work and steering was hard, we gave it back but he said he wanted 300 rupees for that. I do not think the hotel boys should be doing this and he told us to not say anything infront of the staff, This experience ruined our one night at this hotel .
The pictures show rooftop seating and restaurant but there was nothing there apart from the rooftop, we were looking forward to breakfast or afternoon tea up there , but not like the pictures showed

We stayed 3 nights at Hotel Ishan in February. It turned out to be one of our favourite places out of 15 stops over 4+ weeks in India. The location is incredible, with gorgeous views over the Laxman Jhula bridge. The bridge is right beside the hotel so really easy to cross over to explore the other side of the river as well. Our room was possibly the best in the hotel: top floor right by the bridge (#114). The room was clean and quiet. Service at the hotel was excellent. We were particularly impressed with the restaurant (Oasis) food and service. Our breakfast was included in our package so we used a different menu than the regular one. It was a very good breakfast though. Special thanks to Em and Gagan in the restaurant. They made meals there extra enjoyable. The reception staff also helped book a driver to take us to Haridwar on departure.

One Aum away from Home. Serenity meets serendipity as one steps into this clean serene atmosphere. As if by sheer chance I arrive on Sivarathri, the night celebrating the heavenly nuptial knot between Siva and his consort Parvati. The streets are agog with mankind, bulls, taxis, scooters, cows dogs, monkeys and Sadhus- all vying for their space in the universe. As I entered the hotels precincts, Gunga Din is hardly audible and welcoming souls take over your comfort and care. Right from the manager to the smiling night boy at the door, all seem to be wanting to help and at the same time intent on preserving your privacy and safety from a decent distant. The decor is homely, classy and yet minimalistic, and home for nurturing your piety and inner soul. That reminds me of the wonderful cuisine served by very helpful young girls and boys (non-judgemental too I observed, when the man on next table asked ‘what is this it Spaghetti?’). Be warned that portions are deliciously large, over-eating habit promoting gourmet delight. The night time singer in the Arches clearly needs more practice, both vocally and on the chords of his guitar, bless him. I wish to thank the sweet cleaner person who set a comfortable seat for me facing the amazing expanse of Ganga, to enjoy a meditative spell in the cool moist breeze blessed by the river’s grace. The experience was mindblowing and I felt caressed by Gods presence basking in the golden hue of the majestically rising sun.
The manager gave me instructions on local spots, safety tips and best buys.
As I left in the taxi arranged, I strangely felt a twinge of nostalgia, remembering a past visit I had paid with my parents five decades ago. Times had changed and yet quietly flowed Ganga, much cleaner than before bringing life to the plains beyond and rejuvenating many more lives of pilgrims like me

Top Location. Top view from room 116 and 115. Nice resting spots in the hotel. Rooms fine. Staff take action in case of issues ( replacing non working refrigarator). Had a very good experience here: left my laudry back when I went to my next hotel in Ram Jhula. I did ask by whats app what it would cost to send a motorcycly with the laundry. Without asking, within an hour, the manager came on the motorcycle to give me the bag (free of charge)

A lovely clean hotel with a beautiful view of Ganga. Kuldeep, Anand and Manoj were excellent and took very good care of me and the other residents. The location was perfect for me. My only criticism is the WiFi in my room was either too weak or kept cutting out. I would stay here again.

The Ishan Hotel is located on the true right side of Ganges, 100 meters from Laxman Jhulla bridge. My wife and I have a room, or rather two rooms, with a huge floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the river and the bridge. The roof top terrasse is just outside our door. The hotel is more that reasonably clean and there is a good restaurant, there are everything great.

Yes they do allow pets in the hotel
Many but not all rooms face Ganga. I do not believe there is a lift.
Parking is a short walk as round the hotel is closed for traffic . It’s a main car park which you have to pay to use , it cost us 200 rupees for the night parking . Room is basic but clean , but don’t let the room boys sell you their scooters or special trips
Dear Guest,
We appreciate that you asked this question. We hereby want to inform you that in Rishikesh it's not allowed to do fishing in river Ganga. It's totally illegal.
In our hotel all the suites rooms are with river facing. For any further query contact us anytime.
Thanks & Regard's,
Team Hotel Ishan.
