If you are planning for a Trip to Rishikesh and that too Solo the best stay option is Shalom in Tapovan Laxman Jhula Road. Mr. Ankit over there is such a nice and welcoming person. He will help you with everything be it Rental Bikes/Activa, nearby things to visit and many more. The location is perfect the vibes are amazing and people over there be it management or people who are staying all are really nice. The best part is it is really affordable and also if you are group of 4 or 6 you can book entire dome by yourself. This will surely be my fixed stay for my next upcoming trips.

A very nicely built and maintained property, the hotel location was perfect for exploring the area and the amenities provided exceeded my expectations. Amazing hospitality and definitely one of the most amazing view in Rishikesh. If one is in Rishikesh, definitely Shalom should be the choice of stay. The host and the other people around makes you feel comfortable and are friendly. They helped me in making my itinerary to stroll in and around, also helped me with cab booking ❤️ Definitely Shalom is recommended if you are in Rishikesh

During our first anniversary celebration in Rishikesh, my wife and I had the misfortune of staying at Shalom Backpackers Rishikesh. Unfortunately, our accommodation experience was severely disappointing.
Upon arrival, we were allocated a room that bore no resemblance to the one displayed on their website. The room was minuscule, with the bed occupying approximately 70% of the space. Basic amenities like a mirror were conspicuous by their absence.
The hospitality, or lack thereof, was alarming. When I requested early morning tea, it was not delivered. A subsequent visit to the reception yielded no results, as there was no one available to attend to my needs. Despite waiting for 15 minutes, no staff member emerged to address my concerns.
To add insult to injury, the contact number provided was out of service. When I requested a simple glass of water, the response was identical – no delivery, no staff, and no accountability.
The management's excuse for their incompetence was a lack of staff to assist guests. This justification rings hollow, considering we had paid for services that were not rendered.
Overall, our experience at Shalom Backpackers Rishikesh was subpar, and we would advise fellow travelers to exercise caution when considering this establishment.

We have been treated like nowhere else in India. It was super expensive for the service and every extra bit more was to be paid for. The manager screamed at us and we were absolutely not confortable with leaving our things in the room (the same key open all the rooms doors btw). So many more options in Rishikesh guys, avoid this one please.

I recently stayed at this hostel. and I had a wonderful experience. The room was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful especially Kuldeep and Rajat . The hotel's location was perfect for exploring the area, and the amenities provided exceeded my expectations.Overall highly recommend this place and look forward to staying there again."

Good location View, Tasty cafe food & cordinative staffs. Rooms are Good or OK. Staffs are always ready to help and the view from cafe and roof top is amazing if you want they can also arrange a bone fire at free of cost but you will have to look for your own car parking.

Shalom backpackers Rishikesh was hell of an experience. We had the community manager Damini helping with regular activities and Shreyas within the Shalom team very cooperative. We had Karaoke night, yoga mornings with Hetal and gameboard night. The owner Tarun was very friendly at the desk and even helped us during covid situation within the hostel.
The cafe here is decent and prices are average. The game changer is the Ganga view you get from amy floor. I would personally recommend staying at the ground floor to get a view everytime you get out of your dorm.
Incase you are planning to book a room please go for the the new building as they have balconies and also a terrace with a crazy view of ganga. This view also includes ram jhula and you can at times see the ganga aarti too.
Some new restaurant staff members were rude which was a turn off for sure. Hope Mr. Tarun works on that soon. I did make great friends and enjoyed my time there at Shalom Rishikesh.

Staying here was an incredible experience! The Ganga view balcony was hands down my favorite spot—just sitting there, soaking in the peaceful vibes, felt amazing. The hostel has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with lots of fellow travelers to connect with. A huge shoutout to Abhishek, Harsh, and Ankit bhai for being such wonderful hosts and making the stay even better. If you're a solo traveler looking for a chill place with great people, this is the spot. Definitely coming back!
