Detailed Reviews
This is a good quality hotel situated right on the beach. The rooms were pleasant, but the balconies are very narrow, and the shower cubicle in the bathroom is extremely small. A larger person would not be able to fit in the shower.
The food was good and quite varied for lunch and dinner, but I was very disappointed with the breakfasts. There was no toast making facility, and lots of things offered catered for the Eastern European taste, - lots of spicy fat sausages etc. I found breakfast the worst meal of the day.
Whilst we were staying there, we were the only English people in the hotel. Most guests were Eastern European. Having said that, they were very nice.
There is only one bar in the hotel serving all inclusive guests. Most of the bars were “pay” bars.
The pool area was pleasant, and there was no scrambling for sun beds. Fresh pool towels were always available.
There was one particularly nasty man in the restaurant which lies between the hotel and the beach. It’s a pay restaurant, and when we strayed into it, he shooed us out very rudely. He made us feel that we were somehow second class. A very rude man.
Generally, I can recommend this hotel, although it is an extremely long transfer from Dubrovnik in Croatia where we landed with Jet2holidays.

Hotel Montenegro was in all respects a nice 4-star beach hotel with its own free beach with beach chairs. My wife and son and I stayed at the hotel for 7 nights now in July on its new side, equipped with a partial sea view and a balcony. The room and bathroom were of high quality and well equipped. The buffet breakfast was varied, where everyone could definitely find something to eat. Right near the beach was a beach restaurant called El Gusto, where we went every afternoon for a snack. The pizzas were really good because they were baked in a wood-fired pizza oven. The pool area was comfortable sunbathing with chairs and shades, although the places around the pool were in high demand, but luckily we always found a place. You could change the towels to dry ones every day at the kiosk.
The location of the hotel on Becic beach was also good, because there was a small market a couple of hundred meters away, where you could buy everything you needed for the trip. There was a bigger road near the market, along which a bus runs every 10 minutes to Budva, right near the old town. From the same bus stop called Boreti, you can also board a bus for e.g. the Boka bay cruise, if you have purchased the cruise in advance.
There was also an entrance to an underground tunnel near the hotel, through which you could walk to the Budva side through the tip of the cape. At the other end of the beach in Becic, in the area called Rafailovici, there were good fish restaurant options for dinner, which was about a 1.7 km walk along the promenade.

Just returned from 7 days here, we had 2 superior rooms that were very stylish with beautiful contemporary decor, king-size bed had a full mattress on, not just 2 singles pushed together, very comfortable to sleep on. Huge shower, rooms were cleaned everyday with fresh towels supplied. Easy to get sun loungers (you need to get them 8-8.30), there is a towel hut that opens at 8am, you give your towel card in to get a fresh towel every day. Beach is nice, just be aware it's stones upon entering the sea and it quickly goes very deep over 6 feet just a few metres into the sea, felt safe though as there's a square rope section with floats in the sea to rest or hold onto.
Air con and WiFi was great. Amazing cake cafe called Mika at the front of the hotel, a real treat for desert lovers. 2 nice bars/restaurant behind hotel overlooking beach, lovely food and cocktails.
We found the food to be delicious in the hotel, something for everyone from pizza, pasta, fries to fish selections, stews, meats and rice/veg dishes as well as local, authentic dishes. Lovely deserts too. Be aware unless you're all inclusive you are only allowed to have water with your meal (there are staff at the drink stations to point this out if you attempt to have an apple juice)
The only reason I gave 4 and not 5 stars for this hotel was an experience we had during one evening meal, our 17 year old daughter was approached as she was queueing for food and told that her outfit was inappropriate but that it was fine for that night, this left my daughter feeling very self conscious and she left early without eating much. There is a dress code leaflet which states 'footwear and light clothing' I could understand if someone wore swimwear or had bare feet to dine, our daughter was wearing a long dress with a split and cut out middle (dressed up as we were going out after our meal) the hotel needs to be more specific in clothing descriptions on the dress code to avoid embarrassing guests in future and certainly in the case of a young adult/teenager, we as her parents should have been approached over this issue when we were all seated together as situations like this can have an effect on confidence particularly for teenagers.
We found most staff to be friendly in particular the pool towel staff and reception staff. Pool is small but I prefer to swim in the sea anyway. Great little ice cream selection next to the pool and at 1 euro a cone it's great value.

Dear Melissa, Thank you for taking the time to share your wonderful feedback about your recent stay with us. We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the experience overall and appreciated the comfortable rooms, beautiful beach, and delicious food options. We are pleased you found it easy to get sun loungers, and our towel hut system was convenient for you. However, we regret to hear about the unfortunate incident that occurred during one of your evening meals, involving your daughter and the dress code. We sincerely apologize for any discomfort or embarrassment this may have caused her. We understand the importance of being sensitive to our guests' feelings, especially for young adults and teenagers, and we will work on improving our dress code descriptions to avoid any such situations in the future. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we will use it to enhance our guest experience. On a brighter note, we are delighted that most of our staff, particularly the pool towel staff and receptionists, left a positive impression on you with their friendly service. We strive to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all our guests. Once again, thank you for sharing your valuable feedback with us. Your satisfaction is of utmost importance to us, and we will continue to work diligently to ensure that we provide exceptional experiences for all our guests. We hope to welcome you back in the near future for another enjoyable stay and provide you with even better services and experiences. Best regards, Danijela Djurovic General Manager

Hotel was very good. Had a room upgrade which was nice, on 3rd floor. Everything in the room was very modern and looked very new. The air con, much need as temperatures were pushin 40 degrees, was very good and nice and quiet. The room was very quiet and we slept well every night. We were half board and the food was buffet style, but was an excellent choice and seemed very well cooked. Breakfast was also good with plenty of choice. In fact I think the buffet here is one of the best of any hotel I've stayed in
Although busy in July, we never had a problem finding a sun lounger and shade on the hotel's private section of the beach, and towels are provided free of charge each visit. You still get those who get up early to put their towels in prime position then disappear for 5 hours, but as there were very few British and German guests, they can't be blamed this time. Had one minor issue, which the hotel corrected within minutes. Overall, a very nice, well run hotel and if you're looking for a Montenegro holiday away from the partying in nearby Budva, this hotel is a good choice. You can always walk into Budva, via a tunnel in about 30 minutes. In summary, nice rooms very good food, helpful staff, and a quiet location.

Dear Macala, Thank you for your detailed and positive review. We're delighted to hear that you had such a pleasant stay with us and enjoyed the room upgrade. It's great to know that the modern amenities, especially the air conditioning, contributed to your comfort during the hot weather. We're also pleased that you appreciated our buffet offerings for both breakfast and dinner. Our team works hard to provide a wide variety of well-prepared dishes, and it’s wonderful to hear that you found our buffet to be among the best you’ve experienced. It’s good to hear that you had no trouble finding a sun lounger and shade on our private beach. We are constantly striving to manage the early reservation of loungers better and ensure fair access for all guests. We're glad we could swiftly resolve the minor issue you encountered and that it did not detract from your overall experience. Thank you for highlighting the convenience of our location and the proximity to Budva. We appreciate your kind words about our staff and services. We look forward to welcoming you back for another enjoyable stay. Best regards, Danijela Djurovic General Manager

Friendly staff that makes the difference if many of your employees are inexperienced. There are countries that excel in all inclusive, Montenegro neither its neighbours do not. I rated hotel as very good, no points deducted that mini bar was excluded from all inclusive. I had read a review that warned that shower cubicles are tiny. They were tiny. Shower had excellent water pressure and tap water was drinkable and good tasting. There were enough sun beds at the very good beach. Families with small children preferred the pool area and also indoor pool had plenty of usage.

Our room was wonderful, very modern and clean, the bathroom was excellent. Had we been a floor higher I’m sure the view of the bay would be fabulous, however we had a good enough view of the mountains. The hotel is well maintained and always spotlessly clean. We were all inclusive, which appeared to rank as second class to guests on a different basis who received tables service and were able to use all the bars and there were two additional eateries if you wanted to pay on top of the premium already paid for all inclusive. The only restaurant was buffet style and all though lots of choice the food was often back out a dinner from lunch and flies were able to land on the cold selections of food, salad, cold meats and cheese etc. The staff in the restaurant were surly and unwelcoming to say the least. The entertainment was very limited both in the restaurant, where a man played a violin for three of the seven nights we were there. The pool is far too small for the height of summer season with small children unsupervised running and hurling themselves into the water. The beach section is plentiful with daily laundered towels. All in all a lovely location, well maintained hotel, shame the service didn’t reach the same standards.

Dear Paula, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on your recent stay with us. We are pleased to hear that you found your room to be modern, and clean, and enjoyed the beautiful mountain views. We appreciate your compliments on the hotel’s maintenance and cleanliness. However, we regret to learn that some aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. Your observations regarding the service for all-inclusive guests are noted. We are committed to ensuring that all guests receive exceptional service regardless of their package. We will review our practices to address this concern. We also take your feedback about the dining experience very seriously. We aim to provide a varied and fresh food selection for all our guests. We will address the issues you mentioned about food handling and the attitude of our restaurant staff to enhance the overall dining experience. Stayed here October 2018. One thing that I was really impressed by was the cute little cafe that's situation on the hotel grounds at the front and also the variety of food in the massive breakfast hall! There are a million seats in there so you can sit wherever you like, inside or out. The hotel is quite big and has it's own private beach which is sectioned off from the general public, you can also borrow towels and don't have to pay. The hotel has friendly helpful staff who speak great english. My only issue is my mum left her bracelet in our room and when we emailed the hotel the same day (which was the day we checked out) despite numerous attempts, the bracelet wasn't found. It is what it is, and it is in the past and we have moved on from it, but I was hoping it would have been found as I feel like someone has taken it from the hotel because my mum took it off on the first day and kept it in the hotel room. Despite this, my mum still really enjoyed her stay here. It is a bit of a far walk from the old town so I wouldn't stay here if you have back problems or something that stops you from walking a lot, unless you want to get a taxi from the old town :)

Dear Yal94, We were pleased to welcome you to Montenegro Beach Resort and would like to thank you for writing such a nice TripAdvisor review. It is nice to see that you fondly remember your stay. We had some changes since your last visit, and the café that you mentioned was fully renovated and refurbished, making it even nicer and cozier than before. Our reception staff remembers the situation with the bracelet, and we have searched and investigated thoroughly with our staff, but unfortunately, we were not able to locate it, and we are sorry for this, believe me, it was not due to our lack of trying. Once again thank you for your feedback and we are looking forward to welcoming you back in the future! Sincerely, Danijela Djurovic, General Manager.

When I arrived to the hotel Montenegro at 9 pm after the 35 hour trip, the hotel staff greeted me warmly and brought super delicious dinner to my room (with traditional baked peppers), so that was the awesome beginning of my vacation. And it really touched my heart.
I really like that hotel is not super big, it is cozy, smells good, has swimming pools, few cafes (btw they serve awesome beef burgers in Gallia cafe on the beach), really nice and clean territory. Room service was excellent, people - smiling, friendly and always ready to help. As I was the last guest on October the 31st and had really late departure, they kindly allowed me to stay in my room till the evening and relax before long journey home.
I will definitely visit this hotel again!
