Excellent cosy hotel, superb setting in the valley towards Bourg d’Oisans and a great base for motorbiking or bicycling the area, e.g. to go to Alpe d’Huez, 2 Alpes, Col du Glandon/Croix de Fer and Galibier. Set menu is served at night, on a nice outside terrace, simple but very tasty. Delicious breakfast to start your day.
We chose this hotel as we wanted to avoid the mass tourism options in Les deux Alpes and we were not disappointed. The rooms are simple, tasteful and fully functional. Breakfast had a good selection of local products (honeycomb, cheeses, charcuterie) and the people running it are super friendly and helpful. What elevated it to 5 star for us was the restaurant where every day there was a 3 course menu and really can’t compare it to any other options in the area - just try it ;)
We visited this hotel now in Jan. with my family and we immediately fell in love with this place, the snow covered area with the running river next to the hotel, created a perfect resting place. The owners, Sophia and Maarten are great, they are very nice and pleasant people and know how to treat their customers. They were very helpful and relaxed, making the entire experience of our trip very pleasurable. There is no need to post photos as the official photos are exactly what you get. The place is clean, in a quite small village and with very comfortable rooms, we felt like home and our daughter, which is 3 loved all of it. The location is also very good, only 10min with a car from the base of the ski slopes and the lifts, with plenty to do. Also there are other very nice stuff to do, both in winter and summer. Finally but not in the last place, the food... The food is simply great, Maarten, knows how to run his kitchen and the quality of the food is worth of a Michelin star restaurants. Will definitely go back!…
Truly a gem of an inn! We loved being based here for an amazing few days of cycling. Sophia and Maarten were amazing hosts! The food was great, and the room was charming. We could have stayed there for double the time and enjoyed the riding, the food, and the scenery.
Sophia and Maarten are the perfect hosts. They are very friendly and welcoming (as are all their staff too) and were able to give us so much help in finding special places to visit, tailored to our interests. Maarten is an excellent chef, with a wonderful palette and we enjoyed each and every meal he created. The breakfasts were lovely too, with a whole honeycomb to help ourselves to, which was delicious. We were sad to say goodbye after our stay and would definitely come back again. Thank you
