Detailed Reviews
This hotel delivers more than expected! Usually the websites over promise and under deliver however this was the other way around!
As others have mentioned rooms are quite small but completely adequate, the only thing we could suggest would be to offer coffee & tea in the room (there is a kettle & fridge). Bathroom has toileteries which are decent quality. Room was warm and thus ski clothes were dried well.
There is good storage for ski equipment and a lovely small gym with good quality kit (open 24/7)
All staff were very friendly and knowledgable about the area giving good instructions and suggestions for places to eat. There is a shuttle service to the town but it is also a pleasant walk (without ski gear!)
The small convenience store on site is ok but a little expensive (although this is independant of the hotel)
Breakfast is plentiful, everything fresh and inviting to eat - there is an egg station where you can get eggs any which way.
The diner us surprisingly good - a small menu but made to order and like breafast very fresh. The bar does happy hour and some lovely cocktails :) There is a "common room" whereby you can cook for yourself - this would be good if travelling in a group.
Overall a great mid priced (low for the area!) hotel

We booked kinda last minute during peak season, so there were not many options left. We were lucky we booked Midtown. The room was small, but it was enough, and the toilet and shower are partitioned, so it is convenient for staying with multiple people. If not, you can just go out the room and there are additional clean, public toilets on the floor. Hotel was very modern and clean. The breakfast also had good amount of options.
You will definitely need a car as it it a bit of distance to slopes. There is parking. We wanted to check out a few rather than stick to one though so it was ideal for us.

we stayed in december 2019 for 3 nights and it was a very pleasant stay. the room was not spacious but just the right size for 2 people. we lucked out and got the grand hirafu slope view, too. there's a spacious common room + kitchen/dining room + coin-operated laundry machines on every floor. the room provides ample daily amenities. highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling with friends (or as couples). not too sure about the family room but we also had a small family of three traveling with us and they had no problem with the room too. all around a pleasant hotel to stay in.

There is a convenience store "LOWSON" on the premises of the hotel, which is convenient. However, it is not open in the morning, so breakfast needs to be arranged at night.
Each floor has a microwave oven and simple cooking space.
The room was comfortable with plenty of storage.

Midtown Niseko
Pros:
- there is a shuttle bus running between midtown to Hirafu and Hanazono every 20 mins
- There is a modern and well equipped common room ( a big pantry with cooking utensils ), small oven and microwaves and dinning tables and chairs on every floor ( but no eating utensils )
- Coined laundry and dryers on every floor ( but no detergents )
- Rooms are warm and sound proof
- Gym opens 24 hours
- Rooms are small but storage is good
- pick up and drop off service on your arrival day and leaving day from Hirafu welcome center
Cons
- the rooms are too small
- Midtown diner breakfast selection is very limited, no cereal, not much fresh fruit ( only lychee ), no egg station. Mostly Japanese food on the buffet. Price is 2700 yen per person, not value for money
- Midtown diner dinner selection is even worse. Two types of hot pot, some a la cart but not sure what kind of cuisine they are trying to offer. Not even offering burger and pasta …..
- There is no locker in the ski storage . We have our ski poles stolen
- No tea bags and coffee in the room though they have a kettle
- No daily room cleaning, only every three days. And no bottled water given after room cleaning, only 1 per person on your arrival day
It is still very value for money for niseko standard, but this place is just very functional
Suggestions:
- make the lobby area more vibrant by playing music, provide simple but wider menu at midtown diner include in g burger, pizza, sandwich, pasta. Make a mini chill area for apre ski drink and meet up would create more atmosphere for the whole place.

The hotel was open in august 2019. All the facilities are brand new. Rooms are a little small but has big common room and rest area. Everything is clean. AC is very comfortable centrally controlled at 21 degrees Celsius. Although it’s out of the main village, there are quite a few buses you can choose to go to the welcome center, gondola and hanazono. Staff are quite new given most of them are at seasonal temps. We enjoyed our stay there.

I was in Midtown Diner for the first time to watch the final Rugby World Cup .
And I decide to order some food .
It’s just delicious and super fresh.
Falafel salad bowl.
Crispy, spicy enough and good taste in general.
I really recommend this place.
And good value for money.
The team is nice and the place is very clean.
Good job guys!!!

Thank you for your question.
There is a ski shuttle that runs from Hanazono ski resort via Midtown Niseko to Hirafu ski resort (on a loop.) The shuttle comes right up to the front entrance of the hotel. You only need to step outside the lobby to get on this service. The ski room is also conveniently located adjacent to the entrance so it is easy to manage your equipment as well.
