First time to Niseko and was very glad I stayed at Always Niseko. They have a regular shuttle service to take people to and from the lifts/town and back and when arriving late at night were able to still pick us up from the bus drop off.
The staff were extremely helpful and went above and beyond with helping us out. I had accidentally taken the wrong bag off the bus the staff were able to take care of tracking down the rightful owner and returning their bag whilst following up with the bus company and managing to get my bag brought to the hotel the next morning so able to still get up the mountain without much delay.
They have a great buffet breakfast with plenty on offer to fill you up before heading out for the day on the slopes.
The rooms were clean, spacious and quiet with everything you needed and the location was great in that you could choose to have an easy 10-15min walk into town or take the shuttle that leaves every 30mins.
Would certainly stay here again next time we visit Niseko.

I recently stayed at Always Niseko with my partner for 10 nights. This hotel well and truly met all of our expectations. The bus service to the gondola was absolutely worth every cent to stay in this location and to avoid having to lug our ski gear up the hill to the lifts everyday. Buses were on time to the minute every day and we were even able to flag our driver down one night between stops as we were running late and would have missed the bus. All drivers were extremely helpful and friendly. We would purely stay at this hotel again to have the bus service available. Lovely clean and modern hotel with a great restaurant down stairs. Breakfast was lovely every morning but the dinner menu could use a few more options to mix it up. Our room was a great set up with plenty of storage to empty our suitcases and store cases out the way under the bed. Only downfall was the bed was quite hard and pillows were very flat and hard. Beautiful clean bathroom with plenty of room and storage.

Handy tip: We hired our ski gear from Rhythm, great customer service and they also offered to drive us back to our hotel with our ski's once we picked them up. At the end of the trip we could return them to the Rhythm store at the hotel which was very convenient.

Thanks again Always Niseko we will definitely be back oneday!! :)

I liked the location, the shuttle, the ski storage room, the breakfast buffet in general, the restaurant services in the evening, knowledgeable staff, the shower and toilet in the room.
The coffee in the breakfast buffet was quite bad, I resorted to my own instant coffee. The smallness of the standard room was irritating, there was no place to store a hard suitcase, no table and proper chairs. When the only place where you can sit is your bed, it would be really nice to have a cover for the bed for daytime, but the hotel room does not have any. The mattress was too hard to sleep comfortably on the side and the duvet was way too warm. I asked the staff if I could have a thinner blanket instead of the duvet, but none was available.

We had an amazing 3-night stay at Always Niseko. The property is quite new and the rooms are clean / well-maintained. Staff are enthusiastic and service is always with a smile. We informed them prior to our stay that we will be celebrating our wedding anniversary on this trip and was delighted that they upgraded our room from the 1st to 4th floor with a view to boot. There was also a bottle of champagne in the room when we arrived. That was a really lovely touch.

Although the property is located slightly further from downtown Grand Hirafu (approx 1km), there are regular shuttle buses which would take you to key places downtown like the gondola, welcome center. It was also slightly pricey, but I get that rooms in Niseko are all priced on the high side during the winter peak ski season. Breakfast variety could be improved though, the spread wasnt big.

It was an overall lovely stay, would consider staying here again when we return to Niseko! Do also try the food at Elements, their in-house restaurant. They have really affordable lunch sets with really good food.

We were planing to stay at Aya, but they were all booked up and ended at Always Niseko. On the positive side, access to Rhythm, Staff, Breakfast and Shuttle were all great. However, aside from the size the room was underwhelming. The carpets weren't vacuumed behind the garbage and under the couch. The shower area felt old. There was an old towel in the shower. The cleaning service didn't replace our used cups with new ones and it looks like they only fixed the beds and changed the towels.

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel during our ski trip at Niseko. The room was regular sized but there were lots of shelves and under-bed storage for you to put your clothes and suitcases. Also has wall hooks and open closet to hang clothes and stuff after a day of skiing. Our king size bed was clean and comfortable. If weather cooperates, you will be treated to a view of Mount Yotei from your room!

Front desk staff were very helpful. They called to made reservations for us at restaurants. The hotel is not really walking distance from ski lifts but they do run very prompt shuttle buses to the Grand Hirafu ski lifts/gondola. The hotel is walking distance to the main restaurant/bar area though so we just walked back to the hotel after dinner at night (15min walk).

Hotel is very new and we'll maintained. Good value given the holiday season and the size of the room. EBI:
1 A curtain to separate the living room & the beds
2 separate water for the shower and bath tub

The Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. The shuttle bus runs promptly every 30 minutes and is extremely helpful and the buffet breakfast every morning is amazing! However the rooms are very small (which is quite normal for Japan) and there is no communal lounge area. The restaurant at lunch and dinner has a very limited menu and is a little on the expensive side but you’re so close to all other restaurants and supermarkets and it’s super easy to jump on their shuttle bus. We would definitely stay here again!

Before checking in, contacted the hotel staff many times and asked questions, the staff responded very quickly

The hotel as a whole is very clean and tidy, the rooms are well-equipped and the space is larger than I expected and very comfortable

Breakfast proportion is western style, but it is very suitable to our taste and very delicious

In particular, the front desk staff was very friendly. We had an accident that day. He was very active in helping us solve the problem so that we could solve the problem smoothly. It is very commendable. His name is Maximiliano.

Loved: the always on-time/constantly running shuttle service (one driver went out of his way to make sure we made our bus to the airport!), the proximity to town (we easily walk/ski back to the hotel several times), the cozy but well designed room, AMAZING breakfasts, large gear/drying room and fun guests. Could use work: Beds & pillows are hard, front desk staff are all new and don't know much about the area (It took us several days to learn that you have to have reservations to eat ANYWHERE and could've used knowledge about the resort) and it's not a cultural stay as everyone is Australian but as is most of Niseko. OVERALL - Super convenient, super clean, and a cool place to stay.

Dear OnAir41992439437; Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such positive feedback! I'm so glad to hear that you found our staff and accommodations to your liking. I'll be sure to mention this to our shuttle drivers. I'll also be sure to pass your compliments along to our chefs over at Elements! Thank you for your notes about the beds and staff. We do hire from many different countries in an attempt to accommodate as many guests preferences as possible. Unfortunately, this convenience can diminish the "traditional Japanese" atmosphere. Should you stay with us in the future, we'd be happy to provide a mattress topper to soften the beds up to your desired level. We look forward to seeing you again in the future! Sincerely; Always Niseko

is there pick up service from the Hirafu JR Station?
Answer from AlwaysNisekoTeam
Dear Gillian, we afraid, we don't prvide pick up service from Hirafu JR station, if you will travel by a train, the easiest way is gett off at Kutchan St. and take a taxi to our hotel, or take a local bus to Hirafu Welcome Centre and you may take our free shuttle. Hope it helps you! Always Niseko Mikari

Hi, you will have to go into the village which is 10 mins walk or take the shuttle from Always Niseko. Great night life - bars, restaurant and some place have music but mostly people eat and drink as you get tired from skiing all day and night
