My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mosaic Boutique Suites in Blue Mountain. The room was clean and a perfect size for the two of us! We got plenty of pool time, despite the reservation system (due to Covid). Other guests would either not show up for their reserved times or they would cancel their reservations last-minute, so we were got more than an hour a day at the pool. We couldn’t find the free, above-ground parking that we had read about, but to be fair, neither of us is great with maps! This was our second visit to Blue Mountain and we stayed in a different hotel the last time. We much preferred the Mosaic and plan to stay here again on our next trip!
My brother recently moved to Canada and was working in the Blue Mountain resort. Soon after he had moved we immediately knew that we of course wanted to fly out to Canada to visit him and explore the place he now calls home. We originally started looking at AirBnBs, but nothing really offered us the convenience that staying on site did so booked the Mosiac, which we thought was pretty good for the price on Booking.com. Upon arrival at the resort, I must admit that the Mosaic was difficult to find (we had just come off an 8-hour flight, we were cold so our bearings might have been a little bit off!) but we asked a couple of people who told us that check-in was at the Georgian (another hotel on site). We were welcomed by Courtney who was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the resort and was able to answer all of our questions - including giving us really clear directions to the underground heated car park (a must in the snowy weather). Once we found the Mosaic and went up to our room we were really impressed with the cleanliness, the size of the room and the overall amenities available to us (we had a kitchenette which was stocked with everything needed to cook!) we even had a fire in the room! The bathroom was really nice, with a large bath and we even had robes - how luxurious! There were three of us in the room so we had 1 double bed and a pull out sofa bed, which was comfy. The only thing to mention about the sofa bed is that it doesn’t have a full duvet, only a thin blanket. But the next day the lovely staff gave us 3 extra blankets! We had a nice sized balcony which I expect would be lovely in the summer. We didn’t use the pool but by the looks of it plenty of people were enjoying it - it looked amazing in the snow! The actual Blue Mountain resort itself was amazing. It was very family friendly, with lots of different activities to do, even if you weren’t skiing (which we weren’t). If you aren’t skiing I would definitely recommend driving to the top of the mountain and walking round in the woods (especially during the snow). It was beautiful and something I’ll never forget. We also did the tubing which was great fun. There was a really big variety of restaurants which made deciding what to eat difficult!! We only spent 3 days at the Blue Mountain but would not hesitate going back and stay at the Mosaic. …
Poor guest services, they never go a step beyond to try (at least) to accommodate a request, a wrong information about amenities in the room, cold, brief, and robotic receptionists, bad directions to the hotel from over the phone reps. Locked in the room because of an engineering issue, when called to get help and indicated the door would not open, the person on the phone did not even treat the matter as an emergency. Receptionists made us pay for a late checkout, while the other asks us to leave earlier with an attitude, even the late checkout was paid for and pre-arranged by her colleague.. One of your receptionists asked me to leave and she will email me the invoice just because she did not want to log in as she started her shift 5 minutes ago!!!!!!
Rooms are decent and clean! Pool was broken the entire time and no alternative provided. Aquatic centre suggested, however that is an extra cost. Resort was also very loud. Called security twice, but not resolved.
I have stayed at the Mosaic a few times with no issues, but it seems this is a new spot for march/spring breakers. Had noisy neighbors keeping us awake until 3am. Had to call security but that didn't stop them. We were not the only ones complaining, we spoke to others staying on a different floor, on a different side of the resort and they also said they were kept up all hours of the night due to noise. It really puts a damper on a family weekend away when you trying to ski with your kids the next day and everyone is exhausted. I doubt this is the first noise issue, Mosaic needs to do something about this as its ruining the hotel
