Flear Farm was simply wonderful. We stayed in the Ducks Nest & Quarry as one cottage, as a party of 8 made up of 3 generations including children aged 4, 2 & 4 months and a dog in tow. We were welcomed warmly by Barney & Camilla, and settled into a spacious and homely cottage

This was our second stay at flear farm cottages. 2016 we stayed in the main house which we LOVED. The house is beautiful, fully equipped and perfect for a big group stay. This year we came with the same group but decided with our toddler we would rent one of the cottages a

Is there any sight seeing places to go visit near by as well as any shops/restaurants?
Yes - but get ready for lots of very narrow lanes!

Is there a country pub in easy walking distance?
I would say the Fortescue Arms is certainly within walking distance... The lane is big enough for tractors and cars so walking would not be too difficult. Devon is famously hilly, so there is that to factor in, but it's not unwalkable. And it's a nice pub...
