This is a matter of taste and may not please the younger but it has much character and the room, food and WIFI were just right for us as was the breakfast. We would return here as it was a good base for the area and quiet

My wife and I dropped into the Woodside on our way home the other day. We had a bite to eat which was basic and poor at best. The staff were excellent and helpful and didn’t charge for my wife’s meal which I thought very fair. The decor in the hotel was very tired and worn, it looked like it hadn’t been decorated in decades. Unfortunately we won’t be back.

The friendliest staff I have ever encountered! The breakfasts and evening meals were exceptionally good! My room was very cosy and had everything I needed. I will be returning in March. Fantastic stay, great value for money!

The staff here are fantastic. Very helpful and kind. The room was clean. Only downside was a noisy vent outside our window and a shower that was a little on the cool side. The food was lovely however. We had a beautiful, tasty dinner here and the breakfast was perfect. Again, I can't praise the staff highly enough. We had a lovely stay and it was mainly down to them. We'd definitely go back. Recommended.
