We stayed in the Dodd pod on the site and had a fantastic time. The pod was really well equipped and had a fantastic view of Bassenthwaite Lake and the surrounding countryside. The underfloor heating kept the place lovely and warm and we were very comfortable. We would stay again and would recommend this as a great place to stay.

We stayed at Highside Farm B & B over the Bank Holiday weekend as we were attending our God Daughters wedding nearby, and what can I say - it was absolutely perfect. We arrived late due to traffic and calling to see our friends, but on arrival we were welcomed and show to our room (No 4) - a really well appointed large room with exposed beams, a really comfy bed, sofa, plenty of storage and a huge bathroom. Everything was of the highest quality - nothing felt cheap and no corners had been cut in making the room feel luxurious. Plenty of sockets, TV and tea and coffee making facilities, and basket with breakfast cereals, brioche buns, grapefruit etc, and bacon and Sausage bars (Bread Buns) could be ordered and delivered to your room. I have to say we loved our short stay in the area and will definitely be back!

We stayed in the Lake View room, although the lake is some way away. There is an outside staircase, with a railing, to reach this room. The room was quiet, spacious and well equipped. Abby and her mother are very friendly hosts and made us feel very welcome. If the 3 friendly dogs are out in the yard you may be licked to death but they will lock them away! Due to Covid, they are still providing a hamper and fridge in the room for your breakfast, although we did take up the option of a hot bacon butty as well. The hamper has a very large supply of breakfast items and they kindly provided soya milk for my wife (they need to be informed in advance of any allergies). We had an enjoyable stay and would happily stay again in the future.

Our Room was spotless and tastefully decorated with stylish crockery and proper glasses and even a teapot with a good selection of teas. Staff were Very friendly, welcoming and efficient. Staff have all carried out COVID courses so we felt very safe. We enjoyed the thoughtful touches such as the welcome hamper and hot bacon barm for breakfast.
