#1 of 7 Speciality lodging in Port-Vendres
During this health crisis of covid 19, we apply a precise disinfection protocol, with ozone treatment in each room and between each client. The Hotel sur le Quai has been renovated in 2017, and decorated in modern style with reference to the Catalan culture and, of course, to the history of Port-Vendres. The hotel has 8 premium category room with balcony and panoramic view on the port, and 14 standard rooms. Every room has a new decoration and has new beds. Each one has a private bathroom, soundproof air conditioning, flat led tv and free WIFI access. Directly situated on the quay, the hotel is benefiting from a prime location in front of the port, with a free public car park, at 10 minutes by foot from beaches and 1 minute to public transportation. Also next to many restaurants and shops. It is very easy to walk around or go to farer places. It is also a good opportunity to participate to port’s activities, fishermen, look at cargos, cruise liners and other vessels. You will find all information at the hotel reception. Every morning, an international buffet breakfast is served. For architectural and technical reasons, the hotel does not have any lift. It is unfortunately unable to welcome the people with reduced mobility.

Location is good. The room was clean, plenty of towels. Parking is a problem but you can park (behind-above the hotel in one of the local streets) Sleeping quality was good in one of the quiet rooms..

Stayed two nights in Semptember. First and foremost this is a great location. Right on the harbour and two paces from the bars and resteraunts. There is a free public carpark directly across the street, this gets busy but we found there was always people coming and going so just needed to wait a little while for a space at peak times. Our room had a small balcony and view of the harbour; not a massive room and the en-suite was a little dated but all was clean and comfortable. They have a small breakfast room but we walked alon the harbour and found plenty of choice. One word of caution, there are a number of steps to get to the reception and rooms, we didn't see a lift. Not cheap but not bad value.

Spent 5 nights in this delightful little hotel in May 19, we were amazed at how cheap it was, given that it set right on the water front in the Port, in fact we upgraded to sea view rooms with balconies. Fortunately we were given adjoining rooms with the other couple we were travelling with. The hotel is set above a couple of bar/restaurants. We were not affected by any noise but our friends were on one of the 5 nights, with 20 mins of banging and crashing as one of the bars closed up. The rooms are furnished in a modern style and are well decorated and equipped with tea/coffee making facilities. The en suite bathroom was also clean and modern with a good powerful shower. We chose not to have breakfast in the the hotel as we thought it was expensive and served in a windowless room, a nice boulangerie 25m down the street serves breakfast for half the price or you can do what we did and just buy a few croissant and pan au chocolate and eat them on your balcony in the delightful early morning sun with a cup of coffee watching the local fisherman sorting their early catch out. Port Vendres is an interesting little town with some good restaurants and bars, but the jewel of the area is the next door town of Collioure which you can walk to in about 20 mins, this place really is stunning but restaurant prices reflect this.

2 nights were comfortable and position was good. HOWEVER-when they refurbished this hotel, on the 2nd floor, they must have forgotten the soundproofing. I thought I was in a communal room not a private room. Tried turning off my alarm in the morning until I realised it was next doors, unfortunately I didn’t enjoy my neighbours nighttime activity anymore. The walls must have been made of paper. Also - please note that you have to check in before 8pm as no reception after that time
