This was our fourth short stay at the Warkworth House Hotel. The standard of accommodation and food continues to be excellent. A very lovely dog friendly environment. We will certainly keep returning.
This is a fantastic little hotel. Great room, very cosy and immaculately clean. Nice bar too. Dinner looked good although I didn’t stay for dinner as I’d already booked elsewhere. All the staff were great, very helpful. Lovely breakfast included. I would definitely recommend for a stay in lovely Warkworth.
Hotel staff are very helpful and pleasant, food in restaurant good. Room updated and extremely comfortable, towels are so soft and large. Will be back. Manageress Sharon, efficient and friendly. The location is fantastic with good village amenities.
We booked last minute and they didn’t have a dog friendky room available so Sharon kindly moved guests about to fit us in room 8 which was dog friendly. The room was so lovely with a massive shower and bath, so quiet and relaxing! The food was amazing and well priced for a hotel. There are plenty of places to eat in Warkworth but the food in the hotel was so good we ate there each night. Lots to do in the areabthe beach is a 15 minute walk away theres the castle and Amble, Alnmouth and Alnwick on your door step. We can’t recommed the hotel highly enough so worth a visit 10 out if 10 from us and our dog
Great all round experience! We only stayed the 1 night with our 18 months old working cocker spaniel, however, the staff could not have been more accommodating and were all really good with her. We had our evening meal in the hotel as well as breakfast and our dog was allowed in with us for both meals. Food was excellent, we had Thai green chicken curry and fish pie for our main courses. Very good range of breakfast options and had the full Northumbrian cooked breakfast. All were very generous portions. The hotel is in an excellent location in the centre of Warkworth near the bridge. The car park at the rear only has a small number of spaces, so worth arriving early for, although there is free parking on the village square just a minute's walk away. We had a superior room, well worth paying the extra for, very luxurious with four poster bed. The room came with blankets, bowls and treats for the dog. The Masons Arms was full (on a Tuesday night in late January) so we didn't end up having anything there, probably worth booking. The Castle Tap House was good for a drink, nice relaxing atmosphere. Warkworth Beach is highly recommended for a walk while you're there. All in all, Warkworth House Hotel is very professionally run and the staff are a credit to the owner, will certainly be back again later in the year!…
3rd time staying here with husband, Cookie (my dog) and 5 friends, stay very welcoming and Sharon/Joanne could not do enough for you, All rooms were top notch! It was so good we have already booked up again for later this year to sample the Christmas Fayre Menu. Took a walk along the beach to Amble Harbour, very pleasant but trying in the cold wind, but blew the cowbebs away!
This is a very nice hotel in a great location. Our room was small but comfortable and had everthing we needed. Breakfast was very nice. Good selection including a full english. This was our second stay here and we will return again.
Stayed here for one night between Christmas and New year. From booking the hotel, which was done over the phone at short notice, to checkout all was very smooth. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. We had our dog and when we arrived the room had dog blankets and water bowls provided. This was a nice touch. The room was good with a nice bathroom. The bar was good and you can’t fault the food. Lovely 3 course dinner and a great full English breakfast. To top it all the quiz of the year hosted in the bar was great fun. This was attended by guests and locals. Would definitely recommend.
Staff are welcoming and helpful. Our room was a small, dog-friendly double on the first floor. It had bowls and blankets for the dog and everything we humans needed including a comfy bed and fluffy pillows. It might be a bit small for larger people with lots of luggage. Also I think the dog-friendly rooms get a bit more wear and tear than the rest, but that just makes it more relaxing to be there with the dog. We had an excellent dinner and breakfast - comfort food cooked with care.
Wonderful dog friendly experience. Accommodation excellent, stayed in Room 2 and it was like a mini suite. Lots of doggy amenities. Food was excellent, and lots of it. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Paddy was a hit with our doodles. Great value.
