I rarely leave reviews but I feel obliged to in this instance, especially given the circumstances. The hotel is absolutely stunning in a great location only a short walk from a beautiful bay and lovely restaurants. We stayed in a duplex villa with private pool which was breathtaking and meant we didn’t actually leave the room much all holiday :-) To top it off, the staff and service were out of this world. Every single person within the team made us feel like royalty from the moment we woke to the moment we went to bed. I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough and will definitely be returning.

Travelling during a pandemic can be nerve racking especially when you are visiting a location you've never been to before. I have to say that I was thoroughly impressed and felt completely safe staying at Royal Hideway Corales. Top that off with the beautiful open and airy pool villa suite I stayed in, I could't ask for a more relaxing mini vacation. The photos on their website do not give the room and terrace area justice!

If visiting you must be aware that some of the services are reduced. This caused a little hiccup for me on the night I arrived but the front desk staff took care of me :) Also make sure you don't wait until the last minute to make reservations for dinner.

I certainly hope to visit again and just wanted to say thank you for making my first trip to Tenerife such a wonderful and relaxing experience!

From the moment we walked into the hotel we felt so extremely welcome. The Reception personnel (I think his name was Guilhermo) and the host who showed us the room were so helpful & friendly. We were a bit afraid this hotel would not be suited for kids however we were wrong, they immediately made our kids feel welcome as well. The room: one word - Paradise - we were so lucky to have the villa suites - two bedrooms with swimming pool and this was by far the nicest room we ever stayed in. Two nice big bedrooms and two bathrooms (nice to have an own bathroom with kids) , very nice and big kitchen with all equipment you need (although we didn't use it :) ) seating area to have dinner or breakfast and nice TV area. The best part of the room was the outside area - everything you can wish for I would say.. very nice white loungbed, stretchers, dining table, seating area and of course a nice heated pool - do i need to say more? We had dinner in the italian restaurant Il bocconcino in the hotel, lovely staff (also very nice to the kids) and great food with a nice view on the sea again. I can't recommend a better hotel than Royal Hideaway Corales Suites. We will be back for sure.

Unfortunately all our plans for this year have been cancelled due to COVID19, so my boyfriend and I decided to at least enjoy one weekend here, one weekend there...

We decided to go to Tenerife and have a weekend enclosed in a hotel room.

We picked Royal Hideaway, as we’ve used this chain in Mexico and Gran Canaria before.

Pros:

- Service: Top notch (we stayed in The Ritz Carlton Abama before and trust me, the level of service in this hotel is way higher).
- Room: We had a 2 bedroom suite (amazing view, very clean, pool was amazing). I’m not a pool person; however, I really enjoyed this one!
- Cleanliness: Everything was spotless.
- Food: Breakfast was delicious and everything tasted good! We had dinner as well at the Starfish and the service there was outstanding (we had lobster, oysters and some spicy shrimps).
- COVID19: I was a bit worried about it, but I felt safe (measures have been taken all over the hotel).

Cons:
- Zero, Nichts, nada...

One of the most important things for me when being on holiday is seeing my boyfriend enjoying and feeling pampered and all the team made this happened.

We would definitely comeback in a heartbeat!

I would like to thank Mariana from Front Office and Valentina from Public Relations... They were superb!

See you soon!

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights in July. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment as it looked generally a bit nicer/more spacious than the 1 bedroom. We arrived rather early (1pm due to an early flight from Edinburgh). Immediately we were offered hand sanitiser and our temperatures were taken. All staff members were wearing masks and social distancing was easily achieved. This was a reassuring start on our first vacation since the easing of Covid lockdown. Our room was not ready so we were invited to have a complimentary drink at the pool bar, Starfish. We were off to a five star beginning.

When we got our our room a little earlier than the usual check in time we were very impressed. The apartments are modern, sparkling clean and include everything needed for a fantastic stay. Although, my wife and I travelled alone, we have 2 small children and we would not hesitate to return with them. The suites are ideal for families also. We were treated to the most fantastic view of the ocean from our suite (5th floor). The balcony is very spacious and includes sun loungers, a dining table and a comfortable seating area with coffee table. It really was faultless. Waking up to the magnificent view/sound of the ocean every morning was one of the best elements our our stay.

How well you feel the hotel is located is very dependant on what you seek from your vacation in Tenerife. This hotel is located in La Caleta where myself and wife have visited/stayed many times. It is a quiet area in Adeje with a sleepy harbour surrounded by restaurants (Mostly seafood of a very high standard). If you are looking to have bars and nightlife very close by, you might be disappointed. There is however a bus route (467) that leads into the centre of Las Americas where there is a more lively scene. A taxi will cost roughly 10 euros each way.

Unfortunately some amenities at the hotel were closed during our stay but we expected that this may be the case. The Asian restaurant San Ho and the rooftop restaurant/bar, Maresia, I believe have still not reopened even as I write this review. It might be best to get an idea from the hotel directly when these will reopen before you book if this is important to you. The restaurants that are open are Starfish which as I mentioned earlier, is a poolside bar and includes an 'Atlantic Grill' eatery with a daytime/lunch menu serving lovely snacks/cocktails. Try the spicy tempura prawns! They are amazing. We did not get a chance to eat here in the evening but the menu did look good with a selection of seafood/meats on offer.

Also open at the moment is the hotel's Italian restaurant, Il Bocconcino. We decided to eat here one evening. I must say that we were a little disappointed. It pains me to write this as we otherwise had a fantastic experience. The food was very expensive for what was actually being served. To a certain extent, we expect this from a 5 star hotel's restaurant but in this instance, it was very glaring. The service left a lot to be desired also. At the start of our meal, we were asked if we would like some homemade bread with rosemary and oil/balsamic vinegar. We accepted but it never actually came. I asked one of the waiting staff for it during the main course but he returned with just regular crusty bread with no oil/balsamic. I think a problem with the service is that the tables seem to be served by multiple waiters rather than just one person looking after a single group of diners. This leads to confusion regarding what has been already served and customer requests can be missed. Most of the waiting staff appeared disorganised throughout the evening but we are willing to concede that this may have just been teething problems from the hotel's reopening after coming out of a long lockdown. We are certainly reluctant to be too hard on them as I am sure they were trying their best. The location of the restaurant is also quite underwhelming, it's just in the breakfast buffet area and you can still see the tables out from breakfast so it hardly gives the impression of an exclusive area as you would perhaps hope for in a restaurant like this.

We booked room only so didn't have breakfast included. One morning we had breakfast in the room which was very nice and had a generous selection of hot food, pastries and fruit. It was €25 each which is maybe a bit steep but not unexpected in a 5 star resort. Due to us having such a good experience with the room service breakfast we decided to go down to the buffet one morning and didn't have quite the same experience. It felt distinctly average eating at the buffet and we much preferred the room service breakfast.

Overall, our experience of Corales Suites is very good. Every member of staff at the hotel is friendly and helpful. Shout out to the gentleman at reception who works so hard to please. (Apologies, I cannot remember his name but he was fantastic). The cleaning staff are doing a wonderful job and must not miss out on the recognition. The hotel is spotless and they clearly work incredibly hard to keep it that way (housekeeping is offered twice a day). Safety measures are implemented perfectly and we felt 100% safe during our stay. The suites are perfect for couples or a family stay. We will certainly be returning and are looking forward to trying the other restaurants/bars the hotel has to offer when they reopen.

Hi, There is music but it isn't either loud or horrible. Another reader said " Absolutely Not" - I've stayed here 5 times so far and beg to differ. Don't let any tasteful , low-key music put you of, there are at least 3 swimming pools here and I'm sure at least the child friendly one is music free This is a very good hotel

The kids paddling pool is tiny, and very shallow, probably less than foot deep, I doubt any child could actually swim in it. The main pool is around 1.5M and there are kids activities there a few times a week where life jackets and other buoyancy aids are provided for all the kids pool games. Hope that helps!
