We stayed at the hotel for one night as we were in the area, driving down the „Glassstraße“ - a rod on which large garden center style shops sell glass ware. We booked through booking.com. The room we were given had 3 single beds instead of a double and single, bathroom, probably the smallest hotel bathroom i have seen, however with bath and shower. As well as 3 beds the room had small two seater settee and 2 chairs, as well as a balcony. On arrival we were given wrist bands to the adjoining Karoline swimming pool / Therm complex - complimentary access as often as you like. The bedroom was spacious and quite, beds comfortable. We only booked bed and breakfast, but ate in the hotels restaurant in the evening. We had to sit on the terrace, as inside was full - luckily the weather was just warm enough. Just off the terrace is a meadow with kids playground in, suitable for younger children - say upto 8 years or so. The food was good, we all started with soups, I had the burger for €12.90 which was quite large and tasty.
For the money we paid I think the hotel is good.

We chose this hotel because Karoli aquapark is part of it, anyway it was closed during our stay and it should have been opened in the last day of our stay. But we didn't wait for that. The room was bit stinky with 50 years old furniture, beds were uncomfortable (soft mattresses).
The only positive on this hotel was the kitchen, even though the choices for half board were very limited (I missed some normal side dish - there was fish, very good beef, 2 kinds of sauce, STH.like croquettes and steamed vegetables). But the soup was delicious.

Waldkirchen is a cosy town, little bit hilly. Hotel is a bit off the centre but that is very good. The location is beatifull and if you are lucky, your room has stunning view to the forest. We keep coming back because there is also a water park attached to the hotel. Make sure you get the access with the room price. There is also a covered area with warm salty water - Meditenarium. I know this is not the hotel facility, but it is because of this that we keep coming back. The breakfast is very rich.

The view and the surroundings are breathtaking. Every room has a terrace. The best is the direct connection to the spacious SPA which could be used free of charge without limitation. The design of the hotel, restaurant, and the room is modern but still adjusted to the Bavarian surrounding.
Food is absolutely great and the personnel is very kind and helpful. Great vacation for a family with children. We will definitely come again.

We arrived at the hotel at around 9 in the evening. While parking the car, we thought that the location was perfect for relaxation and cutting ties with the rest of the world for the weekend. Reception was nice and helpful and even asked us if we were hungry as they were offering to reserve a table for us at the restaurant who was about to close soon. We all thought, so far so good... I got to the room first and I just shouted out with glee! The room was huge and the view was indeed panoramic. I opened the terrace door and it went straight to the fields (no fences! ) and I felt like singing " The hills are alive!....) You wake up with the most beautiful view and the clouds are within your reach. Breakfast buffet was more than okay and had one for every taste and preference. Wifi signal was strong. The hotel had a direct connection/path to the village pool and spa. The location was perfect for day trips to Passau and the Czech Republic. It definitely is on my list of favorites.
