Stayed here and went diving for the first time which was one of the best experiences I Have ever had. Was taught to dive by Ang in their pool and then went out into the ocean and it was like being in a real life finding nemo!
He was a very patient instructor and I would definitely recommend him to anyone who hasn’t dived before, thank you so much Ang!
I looked at the photos and the reviews and thought I was onto a winner.Very disappointed with the rooms. We were out the back of the hotel in small rooms with no fridge,no kettle,no TV,no hot water,no blankets on the bed and only one pillow. The tiny pool is on the road side and only good for learning to dive, not for swimming. The air conditioner was noisy and the fan even noisier. In the morning they watered the gardens with the smelly grey water which I know is good for the environment but if you have a weak stomach watch out.Breakfast was basic but you could have fruit, pancakes and eggs.Good enough to start the day but our friends ended up coming to our hotel for breakfast when we moved hotels.I had booked for my friend the Bungalow at the back but they put him in another room and then charged him more that what was on his booking.I couldnt recommend this place and was so glad we only had to be there for 1 night. The hotel we moved to was cheaper and more luxurious.Dont be deceived by the photos on the website
On the beach but away from the more rowdy elements. Difficult to categorise this one as we knew before arrival that Mango Dive did not have hot water showers and the shower rooms were outdoors. Both my wife and I decided that this was all going to be part of the adventure/experience and we would embrace it; truth is the wife hated not having hot water to wash her hair (went to hairdresser and paid to have it washed). Outside shower area was actually quite refreshing - until you need to use the toilet in the night and critters came back into the room with you! All that aside the bungalow we had was clean, spacious, with hanging space and a safe and a comfortable bed. The Mango Dive specialises in diving related activities so the small pool was used for divers but with the warm, clean, beautiful blue sea at your doorstep who needs a pool. Breakfast was basic but good and the diving staff could be found at the bar in the evening to have a chinwag with which we did even though we weren't divers. Staff took us next door to hire bicycles and ensured that we got good ones.
Mango Dive and Bungalow is at the end of the Main Street so it is nice and quiet. You can enjoy a great view of the ocean that is just across the road.
The rooms have a lovely rustic feel to them and are very clean. It comes with wifi and a safe. The bathroom is semi open, spotless and with a cold shower (kinda a damper for those who like hot showers, but the weather is great so you don't necessarily need a hot shower). The breakfast is average - didn't quite like the eggs or the pancakes. However, you have lots of options down the street. Overall, the rooms are a great value for money and the staff is friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Moving to the diving experience - simply fabulous ! I did by beginners certification with them and simply loved the experience. My instructor was Loic, who was witty and explained every thing very well. After the basic pool training, I did the 4 open water training. They dive in small groups of about 4-5 people per instructor so you get sufficient attention. The dive sites are truly lovely and I had a wonderful experience :)
Great bungalow type houses. We really enjoyed our stay here. A bit expensive for what you get (this was our most expensive hotel but definitely not the best we had).
- Good sized houses with a nice outdoor bathroom
- Great all-day (all you can eat) breakfast
- Very friendly staff
- Small pool that is also used for the diving lessons
- Great location (near al sorts of restaurants)
