The owner Dennis and his staff were amazing, specially his two staff, George and sadly I could not remember her name the lady who did the rooms cooked at lunch and also did the bar. They were so good, a credit to Dennis the owner, It was so clean, the pool was fabulous. Breakfast nothing to write home about. That is Greece for you. Lovely island, Never been before. would recommend.
We went for 9 nights at the end of August and really enjoyed our stay. The staff were great, the pool area was quiet through the daytime, so no problem getting a sunbed. The rooms were a very good standard and were cleaned daily and towels etc about twice a week. It`s about a 10 minute walk down the hill into Skala, and not a bad walk back up the hill but it`s 5 euro in a taxi if needed. George was always on hand through the day as was the lady that does the cleaning and the cooking. We are already looking at the Andreas appts for next year as we would gladly go back there. All in all an excellent holiday.
Had a lovely holiday here. Very friendly, can't do enough for you. Cleaned every day. Pool cleaned every day. excellent bar service from George just a short walk down the hill to bars and restaurants. Cant wait to go back.
We stayed for 10 days at this hotel. Having read some reviews I was nervous about what to expect the owners to be like however they were really nice to us. Elizabeth and George are always working away and don’t seem to stop. Denis however was very nice and friendly but seems to spend most the day just sat down.
The best part of the stay for us was that it was so quiet and peaceful. It probably isn’t a family friendly / child friendly hotel and it is so quiet and this is why we picked it. The pool was amazing - beautifully clean and tidy and just what was needed it the heat. There are plenty of sun beds even when the hotel was full so never had to worry about where to sit.
The hotel itself was spotlessly tidy our room was just right. Very spacious and a nice little outdoor area. There is a kettle and cups but no tea coffee milk.
The breakfast was the only downside for us. It very bland and not much to choose from. This didn’t matter too much too much to us as we didn’t often want breakfast.
I would say the air con is expensive but an absolute necessity. We went a few days without and it was horrendously hot. Once we bought the air con however it worked really well and was worth the payment for sure!
And as for the hill people have previously mentioned, it really is not that bad at all.
We would absolutely visit this hotel again.
We booked this place because of the reviews that said it wasn't family friendly, we just wanted somewhere small and quiet to relax for a week and that is exactly what we got. Our room was a double at the back of the hotel and had a small terrace that wrapped around the side, the decor was unexpectedly very modern, with a lovely (quite small) bathroom, extremly clean and had a small fridge and kettle (we took our own coffee sachets, you don't get any in the room, but you do get mugs and spoons). Breakfast was fairly basic but nice and fresh, and had some toasters available. The pool and bar area were very clean and quiet most of the time, drinks a little expensive but handy to have as there wasn't a shop that close by. It was about a 10 minute walk down to the centre, we didn't find the hill bad at all but we are quite fit. Skala is lovely, lots of restaurants and cocktail bars very close together, and a nice atmosphere. The only issue is the coach transfer, very windy roads, quite a long drive and our coach did not have good air con, I felt a but queezy by the time we arrived at the hotel. The staff at the hotel were really nice, we didn't meet the lady owner but did see her hosing the balcony and soaking the rooms below, amusing for us to watch but probably not if you were in a room below. The lady who cleans the rooms, does the bar and makes the lunches works really hard as does George and we would not hesitate to come back to this hotel again.
