Booked the cottages for two weeks at the end of December to celebrate my husbands special birthday. Due to UK flights we arrived at 2.00am. Unfortunately payment couldn't be taken on arrival due to a fault on the card machine but they still let us book in and to sort it out once we had rested. Breakfast was limited but they included both traditional Goan breakfast along with a British option. A cook breakfast was an additional cost but at the prices you really couldn't grumble.
These cottages are a very short walk from the beach. The beach was very busy with Indian tourists so we walked a bit further down to The Big Banana where it was slightly quieter and also if you walked behind here you found that this was where majority of the English are and drank.
If you fancied a quieter time if you take the right out of the complex and walk right along there was a nice bar called Sunset and if you don't mind a small walk further over the rocks there is a European beach which is nice and secluded. Also there is a restaurant called Go With The Flow. Amazing food and fantastic views.
If you wish to eat close to the complex try Jamie's just a minutes walk away. The food was the best we had all holiday. It doesn't look much from the outside but is amazing on the other side. It is a slightly higher priced restaurant but I think a 3 course meal for 2 including drinks at £40.00 is still very reasonably.
Due to the long stay we had the luxury of being able to spend a few days just in our cottage taking advantage of the room serves and great selection of all the latest movie release and all the premiership games. The WiFi was excellent but we did have to renew are codes a couple of times.
Overall the cottages were clean, quite and a pleasure to stay in. Jacqueline and there staff couldn't do enough to help us. She even arranged our airport transfers at a very reasonable price. Even when we didn't come back one evening Jacqueline was in contact with us to check everything was ok.
Would definitely recommend here to stay and would come back in a heart beat.
Stayed in this resort in Mar'18. Overall it was a nice experience. However few improvements are required to make the experience even better.
Below is summary of my stay.
Check in: I reached to resort around 11:00 AM. There was some technical error in the hotel's portal due to which It took more than 1 hour for reception person to finalize my room. Anyway, I can ignore this point at this can happen once in a while.
Room: I opted for a wooden cottage which was on a cliff (around 3rd floor). I think it was newly built so was spotlessly clean and free from any kind of stink or odor. All the bedding were neat and clean. Other eminities like television (with the good number of channels), minibar were there.
However, I found a few small cockroaches in the bathroom and in a nearby area. This propoerty need immediate full pest control. Also, there was the severe water problem in bathroom/ toilet. Already the water pressure was very low and sometimes, it completely went away and that happened very frequently. It was irritating to come out of the bathroom and to call reception again and again to fix this.
Food: Breakfast was limited but was awesome. All the items were very good. Also, the food that we ordered in the room was superb. One must try their Chilli paneer.
Others: The best part of this resort is the proximity to the Baga beach. You can go by walk (1 km around using main road). Though the entry point is a bit lonely, I found it is safe and secure. There was one small but enclosed parking area where you can park your rented scooter with peace of mind.
Overall, I would like to stay once again at this resort during my next Goa visit. But hoping issues like water shortage and cockroaches will be resolved.
Had a 4 night visit to tranquility. Its not very huge resorts comparatively but nice compact cozy place near to baga River. Management and the staff were helpful especially the room cleaning guys. A small and clean pool again. Coming to food, you won't find huge variety in food menu but the quality and taste of food were worth every penny spent. Had a great experience. Suggested for couple tight on budget.
Okay. I am really pumped while writing this review. And thia elation comes form the experience which I had in Goa. If you ask anyone which is a must visit party place for any one in India, then I am pretty sure that Goa will definitely be in the list.
And I am just another name in that list. I am 25 years old and this was my first trip here. There were numerous instances when plans were made earlier but they didn't materialised earlier.
Finally when everything was in order, then I wanted it to be the best experience so I finalized the best restaurant and this is why I went ahead with Tranquility Cottage Resorts. I can easily say that I chose well!
This place is around 42 km from the airport and we reached here after renting a four wheeler. But the ride was smooth and enjoyed that trip too. We were welcomed very warmly by the manager there which shows the professionalism of the workspace
We were escorted to our room and it was just beautiful. The first thing which I noticed was the View outside. Just like a small kid, I was elated to see such a pretty view which is a rarity in Delhi.
There is provision of swimming pool outside which is again a great option. Nothing can beat relaxation time around the pool. And at this time of the weather, you will get really good weather too.
Now, the room was as pretty as the view and Goa itself. There is full wooden floor which just adds to the class and elegance of the place. I will always give full marks to the bedsheets and overall room. It was very clean and the laundry team had done their work very well.
As it was Goa, food was totally left to outside Cafe's. Overall, this place should be definitely given a try. See my pictures and you will agree with me.
Location was ideal for Baga, (Service -Food excellent staff jacqueline very Humble and sweet very comfortable stay
Room service very good
