I was confused by the description. This is actually a motel.
Good thing though - the rooms are pretty well maintained with tiled floors and are clean. Same for bedsheets washbasin and bathrooms. The room opens directly to the parking lot and the walls are not soundproof. We could hear normal conversations from the next room.
The owner is super good though - when we voiced our concern - he agreed to put us to a different (same owner owned) property (costs 33% more)
Just a Place to Stay for the night. No pool but in town and not far from the wharf. We felt safe and he room was clean. The lady at the front desk was helpful. Check out the nearby Charter House on the fishing pier for great food with a view of ocean, bay.
i stayed at pacific inn and the room was very clean and comfortable ,i went to ask the management for some extra towels and some soap they were write on it ,after that they would ask me when i was out and about if i could use anything or if everything was alright ,i would definitely come back to this location they were some very nice people.
You get what you pay for. Not a horrible place...except for the beds...they are horrible. Fairly clean. In a little bit of a sketchy area. There were some "locals" hanging out by a nearby building...watched me the entire time I unloaded my bags...glad I had pepper spray. I would stay here again if I was in the market for a cheap place. I was annoyed that the staff put me in a room right next door to another guest room...especially when the motel was very empty. These neighbors were LOUD all night.
I think we spent a total of $52 for a night's stay. We stopped over at Crescent City during Christmas day after a stop over in San Francisco the previous night on our way up to Vancouver, B.C. The inn is old school and dated, but at the same time, our stay is comfortable. The room is pretty spacious and clean. Cable TV didn't work during our stay, but that was okay. We just needed a room for the night. WiFi was surprisingly fast. The room also has a microwave and a mini fridge, which is a bargain considering the rate we've paid. There's even an ice machine on premise.
Areas that need improvement: lock on bathroom door doesn't work, when you turn the knob to lock, it just rotates round 'n round. Cable TV didn't work, as mentioned earlier. Towels are on their last threads, need replacements. Pillows are flat as a rag, also need replacements.
If you're a budget traveler and content with the bare essentials, Pacific Inn will accommodate you and then some. If you need more amenities than the bare essentials, there are plenty of other hotels to choose from.
