We spent three nights at this wonderful place and wish it had been more. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the view from our verandah out across the rice fields and the valley was stupendous. Ayu and Uma, the two young women who staff the place were charming, kind and efficient. Breakfast was excellent and generous and the several lunches and dinners we ate were also recommendable. Very close to at least a couple of other places to dine, if you want a change. This is a really sup[erb, great value place.
2nd time stayed here and beautiful again. Staff so very helpful and friendly.
Little snacks they give you with the welcome drink. Just all those small but very thoughtful extras make such a difference.
Will most definitely be back.
View from the room spectacular. No pool but we went down the steps to the river and jumped in and that was beautiful.
We loved everything!
Great view from the porch of our room on the valley and the mountain. The homestay is in the middle of ricefields and countryside. At night you can hear crickets, frogs and the sound of the river. It's magical!
The bed is really comfortable and romantic, and the bathroom is huge, with a stone bath tub and a great shower.
The breakfast is really good and you can also have the possibility to have dinner there. The two girls who attended us are really nice and prone to help you.
Scooter rental on site.
We definetely recommend this place. We spent 3 nights but we would have stayed more.
When we first arrived and walked down to our bungalow (one of the two newer teak ones further down the hill) we were blown away by the spectacular view. Wow! What a place! We spent most of our 3 nights laying around, soaking it in. The room is immaculately clean with a lovely big four poster bed with mosquito net, traditional decor and a gorgeous bathroom with enormous stone bathtub. The staff were so kind and helpful and made us feel at ease. Often they would bring little snacks to our terrace, and pots of coffee so we could make drinks in our kitchenette. Breakfast was fine and we had a lovely dinner in the restaurant of the hotel too. Try the Indonesian chicken soup for something light and delicious! We think this place is brilliant value and a great base for exploring Sideman.
It is a nice antidote to the hectic busy Ubud. We came here after visiting there for 4 nights and we are glad we did. We could really recharge before moving on to explore the rest of the island.
Sidemen itself is beautiful and peacefull. Embang is a great guesthouse to experience all of this. Embang has 4 rooms with all a nice balcony and outdoor shower. Our room was on the groundfloor and had a large balcony. We overlooked the ricefields and the staff is really friendly. There was fresh fruits on our room and the second day we came back from walking there was tea with a snack.
Breakfast and dinner where off good quality and you eat with a great view
