Nothing was mentioned online that there wouldn't be breakfast or pool or housekeeping. Think they should charge less if these amenities aren't offered. Should be put on the website because may have chosen differently.
The room was nice but the shower didn't have good water pressure. Then we needed more towels and wash cloths had to make two trips to get them. On our first night couldn't get anyone to answer the phone to get a blanket. Always seemed to be people hanging around outside the hotel or right inside.
This was our fourth visit in 8 years. The staff is warm and friendly the rooms are clean and spacious with a desk a sofa and a mini kitchen it is convenient to the highway and there is a free breakfast if you're in the Hyatt membership program it is also a hot breakfast to not just cereal and toast it's a great facility the prices are good if you're here in the summer there's a nice outdoor pool and spa there is some restaurants convenient in the parking lot such as Mexican Buffalo Wild Wings or IHOP my only knock on the hotel is that it is pet friendly I realize a lot of hotels are going this route but as I sit here the same lady has walked past me three times with three different big dogs to let them outside it's raining so of course they're tracking water in and out there barking their growling I realize that's not every dog but if I wanted to go stay at a kennel I would...not a fan of that. Other than pet friendly I would say it's a great hotel and I will return again thanks for everything
I appreciated the breakfast, the employees , the pool was nice, the view was amazing ,close to everything we need and it felt almost like home . This overall experience just made me start liking Dallas more that I did beforebefore .
Overall, a very nice stay at Hyatt Place in Garland. The staff was courteous and made us feel welcome. Our room was spacious and very clean. The only complaint was that there was not a good hook for our toiletry bag between the shower/toilet room and the vanity and sink area- a design flaw. That evening, my husband went down for a swim and a glass of wine during their happy hour. The pool water was very hot (like a hot tub, not just a pool in Texas heat). He finds out that the Happy Hour is new, but gets the correct price on a glass of wine. But there's a fly in the glass! He didn't have the heart to tell the somewhat-flustered attendant and fished it out. We got a courtesy call at 8:30 pm, which would have been fine, except our infant daughter was sleeping. So our hushed tones on the phone was not due to being sleepy, but just trying to keep quiet! The next morning, breakfast had nice options, but many of the dishes were still dirty and the cutlery had run out. Perhaps they need to look at their detergent? These are all small things, but they detracted from what would have been an otherwise perfect stay.
Hotel was clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Pool was on the small side and hot tub was not quite hot enough. Food looked great, but due to my food allergies, I was not able to eat most of it. The yogurt and cantaloupe was delicious, but would've like something a little heartier.
