The staff here at pretty nice. Helpful and friendly. There are several daily activities that are arranged for the guests. Dome are free but most are at an additiinal fee; such as a sunset tour, surfing lessons and day trips.
They have a shuttle bus to collect people 3 or 4 times a day from the coach park.
Our dorm room was no. 4. It was a 10-bed, but actually pretty large so it wasn't too cluttered. There were large lockers available too (bring your own padlock) which are very useful. Aircon is switched on from around 8pm until 7am, so the rooms are pretty hot during the day, but who wants to be stuck inside anyway?!
The bathroom was ok. Clean ish most of the time with plenty of loo roll. Towels can be hired for $3 each.
The hostel has a small pool out the back. We did go to chill in that area, but there wasnt any shade around the pool and our British skin couldnt deal with the intense sun!
The hostel has a nice, outdoor kitchen area which is well organised and clean. Breakfast is 6-9am and is toast with jam or peanut butter plus tea or coffee. The other communal areas consist of a large lounge (with aircon, yay!) and a room with a pool table. There are a couple of hammocks and outdoor seating on the decking near the kitchen too.
The hostel has a beach nearby (200m away I think). The beach is beautiful, but with no shady areas so plan for this.
We did have a small incident in our dorm room-someone had snuck in to sleep and ended being in a bed belonging to a paying guest. The management kicked him out right away. (I think a girl in our room had snuck him in..) Not ideal but all was sorted quickly.
I think it would be good if the hostel provided regular shuttle buses to 1770 part of Agnes Water as it is a 40 minute walk from the hostel which can be too much in the heat. There are also a number of long-term guests in the hostel which is just something I dont like very much.
Overall, we would happily stay here again for a short time.

We stayed for only one night but were impressed as soon as we arrived. We came early but they checked us in really quickly. The staff were extremely friendly and would always help you sort out trips etc. They even invited you on nights out!

The kitchen area is clean and they offer a free breakfast, the usual bread and jam etc but they have such a wide variety of breads and spreads! Including muffins and crumpets.

The common rooms have such a homey feel with sofas and dining room tables. Very modern! They have Netflix and a pool table as well as a board of daily activities and a range of board games available.

They offer meals for $7 and in the evening they bring round cake for $2. Slices are huge!

Over all had a great stay, the beds were very comfy and the rooms clean. Shower and bathroom modern, large and clean. We stayed in a private double room with a double and single bed.

Would definitely come back here again! Thanks for having us

I come to this Hostel to celebrate Christmas and it was amazing. They prepared a big buffet for cheap money. after it we played lovely games with nice prices and we saw a christmas movie. Its a perfect hotspot to go surfing and the rooms are very clean with good beds. The pool is a little bit small but you have the neach directly next to the hostle.

We stay here about 3-4 times a year and travel with a 9 yo son. The staff are exceptionally friendly and very helpful everytime we visit. We love hanging out having our own dinner or cooking our dinner in the outdoor kitchen provided behind reception. We meet the most unique travellers from all over the world and they are all so friendly and there is also FREE wifi in the common area only. FREE breakfast including an great range of breads and crumpets etc with Jam and Butter, Tea and Coffee.
Like at home just clean up your cups and plates for the next traveller to enjoy.
My son gains the best experience of travelling and staying here learning about diversity. They have surfboards and bikes you can rent out. Can organise surfing lessons for $17 for 3 hours that was in Oct 2017.
Over all we never stay in motels here in Agnes as this experience is far the best getting to talk to people from all over the world and learn a bit from where they come from and where they've travelled. It's such a relaxing environment and so close to the beach out the back about a 200m walk through a lush rainforest feel. But they also have a pool.
Walking distance to the shops at Agnes. Free shuttle bus also.
