Took a room for a night while we were in the area house hunting. On a scale of 1-10, will give our stay an 7.5. Not excellent, but not too bad either. Room was large, bed was great and shower was awesome. Room was clean, but could use updating. Commons area on our floor was very nice. Only downside was the room next to us was very noisy, had to call down twice to get management to quiet them down. Breakfast was not included, not a shock since we are in covid. However, since you can't offer, what about giving patrons a $5 voucher for a breakfast at Dwyers....

Let me start by saying that my husband and I are used to staying at basic lodgings for a good location and are regulars at Best Westerns and La Quintas. A a bare minimum, we expect and typically receive ice and two-ply toilet paper at these establishments.

At the Juliet Hotel check-in we were greeted by no one. After calling the hotel, a woman in sweats and a t-shirt appeared and apologized that someone (insert name of stranger) wasn’t there, but she would check us in. We were informed after asking that the ice machine was broken and when we walked up to our room the door was already open.

Let’s just say, I was wishing we had stayed at the Microtel in town or the Holiday Inn. Lots of work needs to be done for this place to call itself one of those brand names much less a BOUTIQUE.

To recap:

-No one to greet you
-Very unofficial check-in with an open room
-No working ice machine or attempt to fix
-Very cheap, thin toilet paper
-Very cheap, thin bedding
-No pen or paper
-Cheap, non-brand name soap and shampoo

None of this would be a MAJOR issue, but when better places in town (not boutiques, regular motels and hotels) are charging half the price, it is.

Staff was courteous and attempted to give good service. Complimentary breakfast was good and served promptly. Location is good for any events or partying that someone might wish to do downtown. However, we had the following deficiencies:
1. Door had to be slammed very hard, or else it would not lock. This required a real test of strength.
2. Ice machine did not work the entire time we were there (Friday afternoon to Sunday morning).
3. Our room was never made up on Saturday. This was quite a surprise when we came home for the night around 9:30 Saturday night.
4. Business computer did not work because anti-virus had not been updated and required a password. We were able to get boarding passes printed by front-desk staff.
5. Handle had fallen off a dresser drawer.

We were very disappointed, and will not stay at the Juliet again.

My wife and I originally chose the Juliet Hotel because of its location. When we walked through the door, the ambience and the comfort level were incredible.

The lobby and the entire hotel were wonderfully festive and well decorated for Mardi Gras. The owner, Lesa James, Is a “hands on” owner. She does not hesitate to work right along side her staff to make sure the job is done right. The staff goes out of their way to make sure all of your needs and wants are met. Again, one would stay here just for the location alone. But, this hotel is an incredibly relaxing and comfortable environment. You feel at home. That goal of the management and staff is met quite admirably.

Our room was spotless and clean smelling. The complementary breakfast in the morning was Just right and well done. The sitting area on the second floor always had something sweet and delicious to partake of. On top of that, it is aesthetically pleasing and very comfortable place to sit and socialize with other patrons of the hotel.

We will definitely stay here again. It is a wonderful getaway!

My husband & I had a wonderful stay at the Juliet Hotel over Valentine's Day weekend!
The Hotel is very lovely and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The in room breakfast was yummy! Our junior suite was very spacious and it was very clean, comfortable and cozy. The location is superb - lots to see and do in the surrounding area and the location in Lafayette is so convenient to everything there. This hotel is definitely 'boutique' in its uniqueness but has the caring ambiance that a bed & breakfast offers. We could not have been more pleased and we will definitely strongly recommend this hotel to others and revisit again ourselves !!
