Stayed here twice for the first and last night of a G Adventure Costa Rica Tour. These motel rooms have not been updated since the 80s. They smell musty, have no air conditioning, and still have CRT televisions. To their credit, the rooms were clean, security guards were friendly, and the swimming pool area looked nice. However, I would probably never choose this hotel on my own. I wished the tour group chose a slightly better hotel.
I arrived for a tour of Costa Rica. The hotel is clean and basic. The best part is the pool area. My first night they recommended a restaurant that was not very good. If u stay here don’t go to Soda TApia restaurant.
The front of the hotel is very uninviting. We got there at 10 pm and the front door was locked and the staff member opened it and locked us in again. The pool is nice and the breakfast good. But the room is very dated inside and the front desk and entrance is not attractive at all. I decided to book another hotel on the other side of the large park and for less money for the room and a $5 dollar charge per person for the airport shuttle versus a $30 shuttle that this establishment booked for me. I did stay one night here but decided to spend the second night elsewhere. I would recommend staying somewhere else
Stayed twice in this hotel before and after a tour. Clean with good beds. Nice swimming pool and good breakfast restaurant on site. Rice and beans and scrambled eggs. Good fruit juices. Main floor room was small. A single and double bed. Small bathroom. Low toilets. Shower head provided a poor stream of water. The staff was courteous and helpful. Full time doorman to assist with luggage. Spanish language computer available in covered open space on both floors. Location was 4 or 5 blocks from restaurants and shopping. Poor sidewalks in the area. I use a cane and found it slow and careful walking. The second floor room was a small suite, including a living room/kitchen, bedroom and bath. It had a microwave, refrigerator, range, toaster and utensils. Better lighting and good mirrors. Better shower head. I can not say if this was budget or mid range as we traveled with a group. Would guess low midrange.
We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights either side of a tour so had two different rooms. Hotel was clean and both rooms quite nice (the second was an apartment).
Front desk staff really helpful. When we arrived we realised we’d left a bag at previous hotel and she helped us to organise transport to get it. Pool and inner area nice but hotel not particularly near many places to eat.
We had breakfast on second day. Fine. Typical for most hotels. There was cereal but you had to ask for it as it was behind the counter, fruit, toast, eggs etc.
