this as a great hotel. The room is a good size and very clean. We enjoyed the surrounding areas of the hotel, especially the Shopping Mall. The staff was kind and frinly. The hotel breakfast wa very good.I recommend
I took a room on executive floor and I enjoyed the breakfast at the 30th floor with beautiful quiet breakfast ambience and a fantastic view. Also enjoyable was the free cocktails hour with cold and warm snacks.
I really appreciate the executive lounge at the 30th floor. So large and not crowdy with personal service. So pleasant and feeling so well as not packed with people.
The only small problem was my room was facing the huge highway and even at a high floor, it was continuously a bit noisy.
Hip modern hotel about 10km from downtown Shanghai in a pleasant neighbourhood with a large shopping centre close by.
Facilities including the room seem very new, and the bed is really comfortable.
The big bar area downstairs is a nice spot to spend time and the restaurant is pretty good.
This hotel is located perfectly to get to downtown in about 20 mins or to Hongqiao Airport also about 20 mins away.
The staff were super friendly. English was not perfect but always willing to help with language issues with Taxi drivers. Room was up in the clouds on the 30th Floor and the room was big enough to swing several cats.
Breakfast was great as was the bar. The area in walking distance around hotel is a little quiet but Laowai Street was a great discovery and was a short taxi journey. I enjoyed Shanghai Brewery in particular and the hotel helped me getting to my destinations.
I would recommend this hotel based on value for money. Price and luxury seem to be in harmony at this hotel. I will stay at this hotel when i travel to Shanghai for business in the future. Only issue i can think of was you have to be patient in rush hour getting a taxi especially on a rainy day. But even when i have this issue the hotel staff helped order a taxi for me.
L’Atier Quarter Restaurant is on the 30th floor of this hotel. We were not sure if it is part of the hotel or private, however it was definitely a highlight for the four of us, the French chef has a commanding personality and it was amusing to see how he communicated with the waitress’s and on a few occasions even some dishes were delivered to our table by the chef himself, maybe the amusement was understanding his French English accent. It reminded us of the old BBC TV show 'Allo ' Allo! J. This Golden Tulip hotel is new, the room is comfortable, and maybe there could be a few more English language movie channels to select. The bed is extremely comfortable and clean bathroom. The hotel has a big bar called slider with a live band from the Philippines that sung a lot of songs we knew the words to, that was a fun evening. A excellent hotel to stay at in Shanghai
