... into the rooms. There are cockroaches and some rats as the place is dirty. Limited-no electricity during the daytime. Very bad value (RM180 Aircon room per night) would not recommend. Consider Abdul's Chalets: just down the beach very reasonable, clean, proper windows flooring bathroom etc.
It's worth for 2 stars. The heater got problems so we just try to keep switching on and off;you can't adjust the temperature of aircond. The bedroom has 8 beds but only one toilet luckily there is only me and my friend during those days! Wifi is broken those days too :(
... next 3 nights! Here's some basic reviews for fellow TAs: The chalet is big enough for 4 pax and towels provided. There are 2 queen size bed per room and complete with air conditioning, heater and a flush toilet. All rooms comes with a bench outside for us to hang around, spacious drying area...

Avoid this place! The cabins do not have sufficient flooring so insects come up easily into the rooms. There are cockroaches and some rats as the place is dirty. Limited-no electricity during the daytime. Very bad value (RM180 Aircon room per night) would not recommend. Consider Abdul's Chalets: just down the beach very reasonable, clean, proper windows flooring bathroom etc.

Stayed in Ayuni's house from 15th to 18th July, 2016. From the airport in Kota Bahru to Kuala Besut Jetty and the boat ride to the island was fantastic and spot on. Been reading reviews and tips from fellow TAs really help. The driver took us to a Nasi Dagang stall in Tok Bali which is a small town before reaching Kuala Besut Jetty. Was delicious and very cheap ... served in curry fish and a fried Ayam Kampung....yummmm!

When we reach the island, we are greeted by this pint size Chinese lady and I knew we will be well taken care of by the way she was ushering us to her place. It was a short walk and unfortunately, the land owner next door is building something and the path to Ayumni's house is littered with construction's materials. The 1 minute walk took us to her registration counter and the first glimpse of the chalet I will be sleeping in for the next 3 nights! Here's some basic reviews for fellow TAs:

The chalet is big enough for 4 pax and towels provided. There are 2 queen size bed per room and complete with air conditioning, heater and a flush toilet. All rooms comes with a bench outside for us to hang around, spacious drying area to hang our wet clothes (swim suit and diving gears). Very clean room but more lighting is preferred. Water pressure is ok and the heater is working fine.

The aircond is without remote and luckily the temperature set by the owner is cold enough for a comfy sleeping temperature. Food is not serve here and we will need to go elsewhere to eat. Rest assure, most of the eating place is right around the corner and it is yummy! In the morning and evening, there are a pack of monkeys (black furry body with white face) on the roof and hanging around the trees along with squirrels. Very nice sight and it is a bonus to us.

Bring your own toiletries as Ms. Lee (the owner) only provide bar soap. For the price we are paying, I will definitely be back again. Ms Lee make us feel so much at home and she is willing to go out of her way to assist us in booking of the ferry, van to the airport and even our diving trips. She managed to get the dive center to fetch us from Perhentian Besar to the Perhentian Kecil on daily basis to dive. I've checked the water taxi rate and the rate is RM15 per way per pax. 6 of us cost the dive center RM180 per day to fetch and send us back to the Ayumni's House!! Thank you Ms. Lee

The chalet's beach front is not nice but the nearby beach is great and it is just a stone throw away. The pontoon or the jetty in front of the resort is great and convenient.

Overall, it was a great stay and value for money. Ask any questions and Ms Lee will have the answers! Laundry are charged RM8 for a kilo only. Highly recommended to fellow TAs

We went to Jeti Kuala Besut without any proper plans or bookings. We are even confused to choose between Perhentian Besar OR Perhentian Kecil. While doing some shopping at local mart before deciding anything, we had this chit chat with a local trader named Mek Peng who advised us to stay at D'Ayummni House. She really did a great review and we are hooked by that.

She even gave us Ms. Lee contact number and we immediately called Ms. Lee for confirmation if there is any room left. Luckily, we went there during low season and D'Ayumni House still have few types of vacant rooms.

Upon arrival, we are amazed by the location of D'Ayumni House. It just right behind Universal Divers & Seahorse Divers counter and less than 20 meter walking from the small jetty and beach. It may not directly facing the beach but that better than walking few 100 meters or climbing stairs with luggage.

We are showed to different type of rooms and later choose Double Fan Chalet cost RM80/night. The room is clean & the toilet is clean. Ms. Lee was also being helpful host and directly arranged for our snorkeling trip and it only cost us RM40/pax including snorkeling gear.

D'Ayumni House has an open kitchen concept. We are given permission to use the kitchen at any time. We boiled hot waters for breakfast and supper and even cooked our lunch ourselves using provided ingredients. (We went for fishing trip and managed to catch some fish!)

Please be advised that electricity will only available at 6 pm to 8 am. But we didnt find that difficult as we are doing outdoor activities during day time.

Free WiFi is available and we are leisurely updated FB and Instagram during our stay.

Thank you Ms. Lee for the hospitality!

RM50 per night for one bed in dorm room without breakfast, including air-con, hot water, tower.. Clean and new. Worth staying.
One disadvantage is their electricity is provided in particular period of time everyday, not 24hr service. However if many of you want to use it, Ms Lee will open it for you.
