Many hotels in China are not smoking free even they have no smoking signs everywhere in the hotel, but, those signs mean for display only.

We stayed a night at this hotel. However, we have to breathe this carcinogenic second-hand smoke all the time! The toilet and bathroom are full with the second-hand smoke especially someone upstairs, or downstairs is smoking in the bathroom. This second-hand smoke circulating via the hotel’s air ventilation system. What a shame with such a nice hotel but ruining by those selfish smokers, and the hotel ma

Small hotel has modern, stylish, hip vibe, with outdoor seating on the first floor in the lobby/breakfast area. Bed very comfortable to sleep in, a surprise because when I first saw it I thought it would be an uncomfortable platform style bed. Excellent “rainfall” shower with multi-setting hand held shower head too, in a cool glass-walled bathroom. Buffet breakfast for 49 RMB/$7. And a great room rate!

Two cautionary notes:
(1) Not really catering to international customers, but you can get by. Desk staff had very limited to no English. No charge cards accepted, only cash or Ali-pay (Alibaba app) or Chinese government app. After the fact, when I went looking for it, I saw the <no credit card> rule is disclosed in the online booking site I used, but it’s in the “fine print” and not emphasized. What American traveler expects to run into NO CREDIT CARDS, especially with an online booking? So be prepared!
(2) My hotel room was comfortable, but it had NO WINDOW. Wait, let me correct that - it had a window that opened to a blind airless no fresh air or daylight concrete enclosure about the size of the window. Absolute 100% interior room. Maybe OK for one night, but I was in this hotel cell for four nights.

Room Tip: Must request - and probably pay more - for a room with an exterior window.

I like the little, small but tastefully designed room, just nice for one person; the passage ways to the rooms feel like a maze, signage is rather confusing and would suggest a map to help navigation.

Visited Hangzhou and staying at the hotel near West Lake. Good location with accessible to Metro and cab. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Quite a fair bit of walking to West Lake but worth the walk. Hotel room is clean but small. Overall, satisfy with the 1st two nights of staying.

Choice this hotel stay for 2 nights while visiting Hangzhou. The staff is always friendly and greeted us on our way in and out of the hotel. They helped us with transportation and recommended various attractions. The room is clean and comfortable, a great hotel to stay!
