The African Tulip was a great place to begin and also to finish our Roy Safari trip in June 2021. We stayed 2 nights and a half day. Covid protocols are in place and we felt safe for our entire time in Arusha at the African Tulip.

It started when we arrived late in the evening, after our flight. We were greeted with fresh juice and a staff ready with our rooms, which were clean and bright with nice beds.

The African Tulip is a small but excellent hotel with a safari-theme, great restaurant, a fun bar and impeccable gardens and pool area. The staff are very attentive and the owners proud of the African Tulip and the Retreat at Ngorongoro, which is quite amazing as well.

Breakfast was fresh, there was a boxed lunch sent along for our Arusha National Park game drive, and the dinner was excellent. The next morning, we were sent off with another fresh breakfast and off to our 9 day safari.

For our last day, we flew into Arusha from the Serengeti, were picked up by a driver and had rooms for a half day to read by the pool, have a late lunch and clean up for our flights home.

It is a great time to go to Africa, Covid protocols in place for eveyone's safety, people are happy to assist you in any way and there is plenty of capacity for visitors with no crowding when out on the game drives during safari.

This hotel is a lovely boutique property in Arusha. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. They offer a nice menu for lunch and dinner. The rooms are well furnished and I really enjoy the bathtub. Some rooms offer a balcony, which is my personal favourite. A great location for those looking to explore Arusha town. The pool area is quiet and cozy. As a travel agent I was very impressed with my stay and my clients enjoy it too.

We had the pleasure of staying at The African Tulip after our 5 day safari and the hotel was wonderful. Our room was very large and furnished perfectly for a family.

We were on a camping safari so needless to say we had accumulated some dirty laundry. We asked if they would be able to do it and return to us before we left the next day and they had it back to us the same night!

Everyone was so friendly, helpful and accomodating. The food was excellent and the pool area was very calm and refreshing. We wish we could have stayed longer. It was an excellent stay, I would highly recommend!

My sister and I recently stayed at The African Tulip. Upon arriving we were greeted with a refreshing drink and cool cloth. Staff were very nice. We enjoyed the pool in the afternoon, with drinks and lunch. Our dinner was delicious. We found the room to be spotless. The hotel and grounds were also very well kept.
All in all, we were very comfortable there and would highly recommend.
