I stayed in a king bed room and the room is not big. It's equipped with water boiler, safe and refrigerator. There are free drinks and light snacks.
The bath room is not big as well with a shower inside.
The best of the room is harbour view and fireworks can be seen clearly. The hotel is also convenient in connecting with the MTR.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my family. Very low cost rooms but you do pay for what you get! The rooms are very very small and the beds are also small. The bathroom was perfectly formed but it would be hard to swing a cat in there!!! I thought the extra £30+ we had to pay for an extra roll out bed was extortionate for what we got! The room was clean and well maintained. The staff on reception were very attentive and friendly. The location is the best thing about the hotel. It is in a great location. I would not stay at the hotel again as I was disappointed with the room and its size. Stay here if you want a budget stay in Hong Kong.

Dear Madam, Thank you for sharing your comment. Our guestrooms and bathrooms are not big in size if compared with other hotels in Hong Kong, however, we have been trying our best to compensate these weaknesses with our reasonable prices, attentive service and prime location. For your information, we do have 2 other room categories, namely, Executive Room and Executive Deluxe Room, both are significantly larger in size and face the renowned Victoria Harbour. If you would like to know more, please visit our website or contact our Reservation Department via e-mail: reservation@theharbourview.com.hk. Regarding the bed size, please be informed that our single beds are 3 feet in width, while double beds are 5 feet or 6 feet in width, these are the industry average in Hong Kong. Kindly be advised that it is a normal practice for hotels in Hong Kong to charge on the roll out bed. We feel sorry that the quality of extra bed was not up to your expectation. On the other hand, thank you so much for your positive comments on the cleanliness and maintenance of our guestroom, service delivered by our receptionists and the hotel’s location. We sincerely wish that you could give us one more chance when you are visiting Hong Kong again.

This is my second stay at the Harbourview and as always, it was lovely! I especially enjoy the view, and yes, there is construction of the new MTS station in front of the hotel and adjacent to the convention center, but the noise did not bother me. I was given a room with a full harbour view on the 17th floor and I had a wonderful view of the boats, ferries and Kowloon coast. You are a 15 minute walk to the Wan Chai ferry port, and there are restaurants and shops along the way. I always get the barbequed pork buns at bakery in the ferry terminal if I am hungry and it is only a short 10 minute trip by Star Ferry to Kowloon. There is a Splendid Travel Agency representative in the lobby to book day trips with and I enjoyed a lovely day in the New Territories and also a night cruise and dinner at Jumbo Seafood Restaurant. This makes it very convenient when you are wanting to go to Lantau, Disneyland, OceanPark or any other excurion.

Breakfast at the hotel is very nice, and they have an omlet/egg station to cook them the way you like. There is a nice assortment of Chinese dishes and Western dishes and it is serve yourself with a daily paper to read. Try to get a room rate with the breakfast included and you can easily do a 2 meal a day routine with such a substantial start to the day!

Restaurant staff were accommodating and I was most impressed by the Christmas Eve dinner (reservations required) with several Wagu beef dishes, seafood on ice, an astonishing dessert bar and a full carving station. I even won a bottle of champagne in the drawing/raffle and they took my picture with Santa! So many lovely people wished me the best in the new year, and it made the holidays very special!

The beds are still incredibly hard, and this time I asked for a feather topper, and they brought that right up and remade my bed. It made a huge difference in comfort for me and improved my sleeping! The maid for my floor was especially kind and gracious and overall I felt very well-cared for during my stay. When I had my flight cancelled last minute, the desk staff were able to secure me a room for New Year's Eve (no small feat!), so I was able to stay in my room one more night. Thank-you for helping me dear desk staff! The fireworks on New Year's Eve were stupendous, no one does it better than the Chinese, and I will come back again to enjoy the hospitality and warmth of the Harbourview Hotel!

Dear Sir, thank you for taking your time to write a review on Tripadvisor. We are currently undergoing a series of renovation so as to provide a better environment for our guests. We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience caused. Works will be completed by October and we will have a brand-new hotel lobby and exterior by then. Comparing with other hotels, our bathroom is not big in size, however, we are trying our best to offset this weakness by our prime location and harbour view. Taking our strengths like location, cleanliness and high service standard in consideration, please offer us another chance when you come to Hong Kong again.

We booked the optimum floor queen room for the reason of the New Year’s Eve fireworks and what a perfectly appointed room it was! We had perfect views of the fireworks over the harbour!

We booked the buffet evening on NYE however this was slightly more disappointing. The higher price and all the hype made it sound like it would be a great evening ahead so we dressed up nicely and headed to the restaurant floor.
Immediately we felt disappointed. It was loud, guests in slippers, no dress standard at all, a lot of the food options were running low or run out majority of the night, and kids literally running the place. It was no where near the nice evening out that we expected.

I’d definitely recommend the hotel, the room, the breakfasts, they were all great. It was a shame we booked the buffet night for NYE, we should have ordered takeaway delivery from the delicious Yum Cha we had enjoyed on many occasions!

Dear Leanne M, Thank you for staying at The Harbourview for your visit to Hong Kong. We hope you had a wonderful CNY holiday in the city. We are very grateful for the full rating you marked for us. Your full satisfaction has greatly encouraged us. We will continue to put effort on every aspect to keep up our service and environment for our valuable guests like you. We are delighted to know that you enjoyed the great fireworks from your room. We feel sorry that our restaurant environment did not meet your expectation. As it was a festive occasion, our restaurant was therefore running full of house. Most patrons were families celebrating CNY. We did not require a dress code so that our patrons could celebrate the festive with their seniors and kids hassle-free. Some more dish items were additionally prepared. We hope you had a wonderful dining experience during the breakfast buffet at our restaurant and the restaurants nearby. Please come and stay with us again. We look forward to welcoming you in the near future. Thank you for your support of The Harbourview.
