I stayed in this hotel for a business meeting and I had to stay in the hotel most of the day had a pleasant stay. The hotel was clean and cozy. The staff were helpful and responsive. The breakfast was acceptable although not very various. These Hilton hotels are two neighboring buildings connected by a pretty bridge with about min walking distance. guests from each hotel can use the facilities of both. I stayed in Metropolitan which was nice but I used the gym in the other building (Habtour) which I highly recommend because it was huge with several instruments and I really enjoyed using it. There is also a nice swimming pool. The food served in the restaurant of the hotel is delicious. The only negative side of the hotel is that it is far from the central part of the city so you have to take a taxi to go anywhere considering that no metro or bus were available around. The hotel provides shuttle which is very nice and can be organized by concierge, but it is a one way trip and you have to take a taxi to return to hotel. Of course there are plenty of taxis in the main tourist areas and it is not difficult to find one and the price is negotiable but a bit high and there is also too much traffic which makes a trip to the hotel a lengthy one considering the distance. However the hotel itself is very nice and convenient and I recommend staying there.

We stayed here for 5 nights in a leisure trip. Generally, Beirut is one of the most beautiful cities of the World and when you are in this city, everything is overshadowed by the beauty of Beirut. Moreover, prestigious name of Hilton raises expectations. But there are some deficiencies not match with the names of Beirut and Hilton. I will review them, but before I prefer to talk about good points:

Staff: The most important point in a hotel is performance of Staff. Staff of this hotel are great and try to do their best for the guests, specially in Reception and House Keeping departments. They try to don's say "No" as much as possible and provide a solution to meet needs of guests.

Executive Lounge: Guests of Hilton Metropolitan Palace must use Executive Lounge in other Hilton hotel (Habtour). So, you must go through a bridge between two hotels. It is not very close but its service is great. Very kind staff, nice dished and beautiful view made you to spend more time there. But, be careful if you want to use lounge for your main courses, they serve foods few times a day and other times you can find just drinks and some fruits and nuts.

Items that need to get better:

-Breakfast: I expect many items in a 5star hotel but I didn't see many items and it was 3star breakfast. Of course they served two Lebanese dished, Knafe and Umm Ali; Very Delicious

-Pool: We stayed in late April days and the weather really was warm enough to run outdoor pool. But it was closed. It was a bad point for my holiday and I think they must run their pool as soon as possible in the warm months.

-Atmosphere: Lobby and front area of hotel was soulless and cold while in other hotel (Habtour) it was so warm and enjoying. It is easy to create warm atmosphere, there is a great Piano in the lobby, but I didn't see even one time that a musician play with Piano.

-Furniture and Bathroom: I think Hilton Metropolitan Palace needs some renovation in Interior Design, Furniture and Bathrooms. This hotel beautiful and classic but some changes or providing of modern facilities is necessary.

-Gym: There are very few Machines and some of them are old. But, I found out in the last day of my stay that I can use Gym of Hilton Habtour Grand. That is so great.

Overall, I believe this hotel has necessary capacity to be of the best hotels of Beirut but it needs special attention.

Stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed the hotel. It is very quiet, the gym is pretty good and the pool is nice. Breakfast was good, we didn't eat dinner there but on our arrival we're able to order takeaway Shwarma. Rami on reception was very helpful. Will return to stay there again.

am currently staying here and am disappointed with this supposed 5-star hotel. The room itself is comfortable and has a nice view, but the temperature is a little warm and the thermostat giving you control is only an illusion and there's been an on and off buzzing sound in the room. Also, the wifi cuts out constantly. Services an amenities: they say you can get an outlet converter but I was told there is one in my room permanently connected by the coffee bar when I asked...false. Pool/sauna jacuzzi areas: the picture on the Hilton website is of the pool at the Hilton across the street! The pool at this hotel is small, right next to a road, and in the shade during the afternoon. Half the time I've walked by in the afternoon there are also no cushions and towels out at the pool (when there are, there were little dirty animal paw prints on them!). The women's changing area does have a steam room and sauna but neither are on, and the jacuzzi is cold. I understand it's expensive to keep these things running all the time but at a 5 star hotel I should not have to go ask them to turn it on an hour before I might want to use it. The biggest disappointment with all of this was probably the pool advertised on their website being so much different since we cannot use the pool across the street.
