Me and my boyfriend usually gets cheep room, and at times we been unsatisfied. But now i felt compelled to write a review to help other travellers. My bf was really unhappy with the lack of cleansiness, so I tried to get the maid to clean our room. But the lady was angry with me, and in the end, said that we could move to another place. They dident have housekeeping. I got a bad vibe, and it took a while to forget it.
I booked this guest house including with Airasia ticket via AirasiaGo. The location is near Tha Phae Gate (not more than 5 mins walk) and "7-11", convenient store opening 24 hrs. My room is clean and safe provided towel, free wifi, private restroom with water heater and shared kitchen. Drinking or hot water is provided at the lobby. Eventhough it's not air conditioning room, I'm fine with the fan. One more thing you need to prepare soap or shampoo for staying here.
Clean and in a great location for sightseeing, reasonably priced and excellent service! They can help you to arrange tours or book bus tickets and never try to sell you anything you don't want. The room was small but had a window and enough space and hangers for your clothes. As you can choose between air-con and fan they offer great accomodation for people on a budget. Would stay again any time!
I stayed here for 4 nights and found it near to everywhere I wanted to go. It is also right beside Chalie where you can rent a bike or scooter. At night when you are hungry, there are plenty of choices right outside, eg the best rotee in Chiang Mai...or a short walk both directions of Tha Pae Road brings you many cafe choices. There were 2 issues I had: the first one was the tiny/thin blanket. I'm a small sized Asian and it was already small for me... so go figure. In Dec night it was cold for a tropical person like me, so yeah. Second thing was the noises. Right outside my room (room 6 L2) leads you to the store and they used some flimsy strippy thingy which made plenty of noise on a windy night... prepare ear buds/clamps if you are a light sleeper. Other than that everything was great, the bathroom, hot shower (bring your own toiletries) and the location, and of course the price.
My stay there was excellent. The room was small, but clean and hot shower worked fine. No bugs or whatnot. A towel and tp was included. A little table in the back patio for smoking/chilling out. The 2 ladies were very accomodating. It was quiet and close to the Thapea Gate so it was a good location for me. Free gated parking for a scooter. Free toast/jam and coffee at breakfast. Price was nice and would recommend this guest house for people that aren't looking for anything fancy, but want a nice, quiet and safe place to stay. Thanks Sixty House!!
