Company
------------
I was riding bikes with my wife. We just wanted to sleep and ride on the next day.

Reception
-------------
The person at the reception was super friendly.
There is a strong cannabis smell in the hostel.

Price
------
The price was ok-ish.

Bathroom
------------
I'm not easily disgusted, really.
But when I entered this bathroom. It was horrible. The person before me. omg.
Luckily later that night it was cleaned.

Checkout
------------
We forgot to checkout. But they did not make a hassle of it.

Sleeping
-----------
We were a room of 4. and three of us were sleeping when at night an ïnstagram influencer" came in and started filming with his Led light on and making selfies.
He then went to the toilet but locked himself out. Knocking ensued.
Not ideal.
I have slept in worse conditions though. Absolute worst: Full Moon Backpacker Hotel (Bristol).

Breakfast
-------------
The breakfast was good. we enjoyed it (and the company) and went our way.

All of the staff treats you like family off the bat. There's option for plenty of food for munchies after the awesome smoking room. Clean community kitchen and showers as well as the coziest bed I've ever slept on while abroad. 10/10 for these guys.

Comfortable, clean hostel. Does have a smoking room but the bar area is separate so if you're not into that, you can drink and socialize in the large communal area. Friendly staff and guests and quite social in the evening. The hostel is a good home base to explore cities nearby like Haarlem and Leiden, or to get away from the busy cities. I rented a bike and had a beauty ride along the coast through the dunes and a provincial park to Haarlem. Very easy to do with Google maps. I may recommend a room without en suite. The one room I was in didn't have good ventilation from the shower so the bathroom was a bit dank. The room and shower were still perfectly clean and I had a great sleep, but the first non-en suite room I stayed in didn't have that issue. They do a good job of ventilating the room during cleaning though.

We stayed two nights and had a blast at the cozy but cool bar area.
You can take the shuttle from here to the other flying pig in Amsterdam. Just remember to book your place at the bar early so you can get a seat.
The room was clean and the place overall relaxed.
You get a continental breakfast and you can also buy pizza or panini here for a cheap price.
The staff was awesome, kudos to our Argentinian friend from the bar! He made us feel very welcome.

This place has very chill vibes! It is located very close to the beach and it's easy to visit Leiden. I stayed in the room underneath the reception and could hear footsteps all the time but had no trouble sleeping. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The WiFi was good. I would definately stay again!
