Five of us stayed in the family suite for a couple of nights whilst visiting the Peak District for my daughter’s 21st birthday.

Jenny and Chris were excellent hosts and were very helpful when we needed some fridge space. The breakfasts were fantastic and set us up for the day.

I would happily stay here again for longer and with some warmer weather!

Stayed for four nights on a motorcycle trip and walking break. A wonderful warm welcome from Chris with a fresh pot of Tea and offer of a lift to the nearest Pub/restaurant - village pub only serves drink.
Plentiful parking but Chris kindly found space in his garage for our bikes overnight. The room was clean, spacous, very comfortable and everything you need for a relaxing break. Very quiet location and excellent walking and motorcycling on your doortstep.
Fantastic breakfasts every morning - nothing too much trouble.
Chris and Jenny are terrific hosts and go out of their way to help you enjoy your stay in their beautiful home.

Just back from a wonderful weekend away at the Elton Guest House. Our room had a very comfortable four poster bed, and an open fire, which Chris had lit ready for us when we arrived from a very cold and snowy hike. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of it! Really looking forward to our next stay there. An exceptional B & B :)

We spent hours looking online for availability in the Matlock Bath area , so my husband decided to ring to see if by chance anywhere free and came across this b&b which miraculously was available for our dates.
IT IS AMAZING!! The family room was not available but the owners Chris and Jenny accommodated us all in the double room (2 ad &2 ch) with no fuss at all.
The owners are so friendly and nothing was a problem, lots of advice on places to visit , their hospitality was superb.
Breakfast was delicious, full English all the way for us , but many other options and with two fussy children , the owners catered for their needs no problem.
The b&b is 10 minutes from Matlock and 20 from Chesterfield and was a fab base for us visiting Gullivers Kingdom. The village itself is very quaint but cyclists especially would love it. The village pub is literally across the road, hubby enjoyed a pint one night. My highlight were the Highland cows at the top of the village 😊!
Cannot wait to book again soon
