The day after I had a booked I received a message from Manos (booking agent) with lots of information regarding the property, collection of the keys and car hire discount with Voyager Car Hire. This was followed up by an email regarding things to do, restaurants locally and in the main city of Chania and the number for Lefteris (the owner of the property) for collection of the keys.

We arrived at Chania airport at 6:30am and was greeted by staff from Voyager Car Hire who had parked our hire car outside, so did not have to go looking for it. We left the airport and headed to the main city of Chania where we had some breakfast as our checkin time at the Villa was not until 2pm. We arrived at Elafonisi at 12pm (it is approximately a 2 hour drive) and could not immediately find the Villa. We parked near a restaurant and called Lefteris, who was more than happy to come and take us to the villa. He arrived within 5 mins and took us to the Villa despite arriving earlier than scheduled.

The Villa was splendid. It was very clean and had a great view of the ocean. Lefteris showed us around, showed us how the TV and A/C worked and provided us with the password for the wifi. He had also provided some coffee, sugar, cream, bread, honey, local mountain tea, butter, eggs and jam!! This was more than expected and certainly a welcome surprise.

Lefteris was in contact daily to ensure everything was OK with us and that all our needs were being met. What a lovely host as most do not even contact you at any time during your stay. He even called to ask when would like our sheets changed and the villa cleaned. Towels and bedding are provided, along with some toiletries. Bathing towels also provided for the swimming pool.

Closest ATM (Cash Machine) is 40 mins drive in Kissamos (not a fault of the property to be fair), but take enough cash as although most restaurants and shops do take debit and credit cards, some do not and the ability to take this payment method very much depends on the internet connection!!

great location, lovely views BUT was rundown... tiles falling off the swimming pool, floor drains in bathroom floor were broken so could get your foot stuck in. Was quite expensive really for what it was and when we asked the guy in the reception down near the bar for some help, found him to be quite threatening and unhelpful. He was obviously quite into kick boxing from his T shirt but not customer service or being helpful. I wouldn't go back there ever

First I had to get over the heartstopping experience of driving from Chania to Livadia. We were only pushed to the roadside by one of the large coaches returning with day trippers from Elephonisis to Chania and only had our wing mirror clipped once by a speeding local - quite an experience, would recommend you do not drive at night!
Had a one bed villa with own pool, overlooking sea - totally private. Had a great week here relaxing and chilling out.
However, on the downside the Villa probably needs upgrading now and the bed was very hard - was really feeling it at the end of the week.
Very easy drive to Elephonisis - on the map the road looked like a rough track - actually looks as if it has been recently upgraded and tarmacked - took approx. 15 mins by car. Would try to avoid visiting on Sundays if possible as absolutely mobbed.
One of the more expensive places we stayed at 200E per night which as a comparison was really quite expensive to other 4 star places we stayed in in Paleochora.
However the overall experience, combined with the excellent and extremely cheap food served in the bar area in the evening was wonderful.

Beautiful luxury rooms in villas, any villa has 4 rooms that share a massive kitchen fully furnished and living room and a swimming pool, sea view of course! 12 min to reach elafonissi beach. I just would like to stay there again!

Booked the room via telephone, excellent location, the room was superb, the hospitality of Lefteris was excellent, the dinner was divine. The only flaw we found there was n't any breakfast and the pool water was really cold.
