We have had a beautiful early September weekend at Hilton Como. The staff was very nice and friendly, the atmosphere was very enjoyable, the room was comfortable stylish and quiet. Above all, there is a restaurant/bar/pool terrace with a stunning view. I would hardly find anything to give critics about.
The only minor accident has happened after the checkout. Arriving back to our Milan home I have realized leaving my perfume at the hotel's bathroom. I have immediately reported it to the staff who were kind to check for it and contacted me the day after saying nothing was found.
I can totally see how housekeeping might have considered a perfume as an unimportant item to be gone missing. Unfortunately, in my case, apart from the cash value it was quite of an emotional loss. Being a close family member's present, this little bottle was something reminding me of her daily. She lives in another country and we hardly see each other anymore. No need to mention I was very upset with what happened.
Clearly, it was my bad for packing inattentively and leaving an important item behind. Yet it would be great to have a bit more of a sincere attitude from the minor staff. Some dear things disappearance can really change the whole impression of the stay.
