My wife and I stayed here for two weeks in May of 2019 with our two rambunctious 2 and 5 year old boys, we could've easily stayed longer.
Upon our arrival we found our keys in the front door, inviting us into our accommodations which was the beautiful cider barn. The place was very clean, well kept with every supply you would need, it had a homely and comfortable feel. The log fuelled fire added a rustic feel to the place and proved beneficial when nights drew in and temperatures dropped. Bedrooms were spacious with comfy beds and lovely cozy duvets, our boys loved staying in the attic room.
Outdoors was absolutely breath taking, the whole area is simply beautiful and many a mindful moment was spent wandering through the meadow and orchard. Our boys were never bored and were so excited to get out every day and explore the grounds, play in the stream and use the tree house, swings, trampoline and slide.
The site in whole is so pretty and well catered. On the few rainy days we had, we were able to hang out in the Gallery which is host to a good selection of books, board games and puzzles. I love that there were lawn games to play too - honestly, it had everything!

The hosts, Vicky & Nick, were honestly some of the loveliest, down to earth and truly genuine people we've ever met. They fully respected our privacy, yet were there with ideas, suggestions or just a friendly chat at any time. In terms of hosts, they are Gold Standard and topped off this perfect trip.

We will definitely return in the future and cannot recommend this place highly enough. You won't be disappointed!

Wow what a gorgeous review, thank you so much. So nice to have had you all here and we are so pleased you loved The Cider Barn and our site. It is great to hear you had everything you needed and that you and the boys enjoyed exploring everything we have on offer here. We loved chatting and hanging out with you all. We couldn't be luckier with the guests who stay here, makes our job so lovely. We would love to see you all again one day and thank you for recommending us.

Vicky was very warm & welcoming. A beautiful idyllic spot to spend a weekend with family and friends. The yurts were spotless and extremely comfortable. The kids ran round and enjoyed the freedom. Private shower room very clean and although not right next to the yurts, a small price to pay for an otherwise faultless glamping experience to hopefully be repeated. Highly recommend

We've stayed here twice, once in a yurt last summer which was magical and now in the Cider Barn in winter. We love both! We used the Cider Barn for a family gathering and it was great for sitting around together - plenty of space, lovely woodburning stove with a generous supply of logs. Comfortable beds, nicely decorated bedrooms & bathrooms. Lots of space outside (and in "the Gallery") for children to play. Vicky was very friendly, welcoming and hospitable. Beautiful countryside all around too...

We stayed in The Cider Barn with my elderly parents who have mobility issues. It was a real find as all the accommodation was on one level with one bedroom being en suite which my parents had and there was one triple bedroom up a small flight of stairs which would be a brilliant hideaway for children as there was ample room to play. The accommodation was of high quality with everything you could need. The beds were amazing we all slept well under a canopy of twinkling stars in the sky, a beautiful sight. The facilities around the site were all well kept. It would be an amazing place to stay with a group of friends, sitting around the fire pit and pizza oven. The hosts were lovely and helpful. A very special place and to be greeted in the morning by 3 clucking ladies at our door was just lovely!

Nick and Vicky know a thing or two about hospitality, having spent their lives in the business as providers and customers. Their place is a mix of buildings and old orchards. The buildings are part their home, part cottages to rent. There is a communal room for socialising and free wifi, plus washing machines etc. this is mostly for the occupants of the three cosy yurts. There is also a block with three heated bathrooms, one for each yurt, along with a kitchen with fridges etc. the yurts are equipped with stoves and comfy beds. A glazed roof light lets you gaze at the stars in bed! The owners are very kind and considerate and make a warm welcome. They are aided by their enthusiastic daughter and smiley dog, Moon. He makes sure everyone is welcome too and is kept in his place by the roaming chickens. A fire pit is for sharing as is the mighty pizza oven. Nearby is a grand farm shop and a very fine pub run by friends of our hosts! Very special.
