I made this reservation on the AMA site and thought I would be safe. The hotel had a large sign by the front counter, Do Not Leave Valuables in Rooms. First clue. No problem, I asked for a room on the main floor. Sure, no problem. It wasn't till I got home I realized I had paid for a double queen and stayed in a single queen. A hour after we entered the room and were getting comfortable the desk clerk tried to enter our room. No knock, just unlocked the door. When I opened the door she said "Oh, you're back, sorry." No other explanation. Weird experience.

Patricia, I do not know where to start as I am at a loss of words. Those signs have been there as part our hotel for years. As a business we reserve the right to excuse ourselves from liability as you have your rights as a guest. You stayed in a single queen because you chose to in the one queen on the first floor by the door. The desk clerk gave you an early check in. You kept the door ajar and our staff pushed it open to make sure it closed back properly for the safety you were talking about.
