Look, there are probably not a lot of things that set F1 apart from other, similar level hotels. The one edge it has? Its spectacular staff - from start to end of our visit, everyone was kind, responsive and accommodating.
From check-in, Kevin was really friendly and explained the terms well. He allowed us to check in early since there was an available room. I didn't ask for it, merely asked if we could leave our bags as we would like to go around before our check-in time. I travel a lot on business, and some hotels don't do this even when there are rooms available, so this was really appreciated.
Room was super spacious - three of us and still there was enough space in the bed for more! We had to ask for extra toiletries, the AC needed to be checked, there was a small roach that came out on the desk when we opened the directory and the torch wasn't working, but all of this was sorted out quickly with a phone call or request from staff cleaning the rooms. Yes, we asked they disinfect the room again when we stepped out, and they did. Everything was ok after.
Our room had a locked adjoining door to the next one, and when the people next door talk too loud with each other or over the phone we can hear EVERYTHING - it was pretty annoying and really impacted our stay negatively. This is something they might want to look into - soundproofing that area. It was the only truly bad part of our stay.
The location is within walking distance from a lot of shops and restaurants and it was fairly easy for us to shop and buy groceries.
Breakfast buffet and the hotel dining area is closed due to quarantine limitations, so breakfast is provided every morning. Simple fare, but serviceable and definitely filling. The fried chicken on the second day was especially good, super crispy. The meal comes with a serving of fruit as well.
Upon checkout the entire process was quick and convenient. All in all not a perfect stay, but pretty close and this hotel should be proud of its staff.
