My husband and I stayed in this hotel from 2 to 8 March. We booked the corner annex twin room. The room was very spacious and it could accommodate a 3-1/2 seater sofa in the room. Bathroom and toilet are separate. Lots of space to open up your luggages and hooks to hang your clothes. This is a small boutique hotel. It hasn’t got any facilities like gym, public bath, restaurant, but it compensated customers with their good and friendly services. Yui Adachi, Xu Youhui, Nagoya Koro (manager) and Mr Horie were very nice. They assisted us with directions and also arranged for a free shuttle car transfer from the hotel to the OCAT Bus Station which was much appreciated. This saves us dragging our luggages which is probably a good 15 mins walk to the Station.
There are 4 massage chairs to soothe your muscles after a day of tiring walk. Also there is a vibrating platform for those who wish to shed off some extras after all the irresistible food Osaka has to offer.
Just behind the hotel, 2 mins walk is Gyozaoh which serves delicious gyoza and karage chicken. Lots of eateries close to the hotel, not to mention the string of restaurants and eateries in nearby Dotonburi.
The only downside about this hotel is that there are lots of steps in the room. Step up from entrance to bathroom and toilet area. Then step down to bedroom. Probably not so suitable for people on wheelchairs. Apart from this, all is excellent.
There is a coin laundry open 24 hrs. 300 yens for washing and 100 yen for 30 mins drying. While waiting for the laundry, you could probably relax in the massage chair.
We will certainly stay in this hotel again when we return to Osaka next.
We booked two rooms, one twin and one double. Unfortunately the first room had no outlook (just a brick wall) but there was no problem changing to a room with a window.
Modern, clean, simple and basic rooms. However, funky, innovative and eye catching furnishings in reception and main lounge area including pool table and massage chairs. Bottled water supplied in rooms but good range of free tea, coffee, soft drinks etc available reception/lounge area. Separate laundry area easy to operate (washing powder supplied) - great when we had been travelling for 6 days non-stop).
Great location - easy walk to Dotonbori area and B4 exit to subway only a minute walk away.
Staff friendly and helpful. We ventured out in inclement weather our last day in Osaka and a staff member came rushing out to offer us umbrellas in case we got wet. On our last day while we discussing navigating the subway system with our bags and transferring to JR Rail to go to Kansai airport, older gentleman on reception overhead and offered us a free shuttle service to the correct train station which would take us direct to the airport. Perfect and great service.
Would have liked a reading light on my side of the bed but that was only a very small inconvenience.
Note that TV is Japanese language only.
Walking distance from the subway and train station, walking from u deerhound, go to B4 and the hotel is 1 minute from the B4 exit. Room is really spacious. Great customer service. One of the best hotel service in Japan. I travel To Japan often and the staff at this hotel was very accommodating. Stay here and you won’t regret it. Lots of good restaurants nearby.
Our Family of 5 are well into our first Japan experience and organised a night stay over in Osaka. Hotel88 is a little boutique hotel and was selected due to its room space and site location. The rooms were perfect for us and Dotonnbori st was 2 mins away.
I am not one to comment on these pages but the effort Xu and the Team put in to help us on our overnight stay was second to none.
Firstly with the gang in tow and a heap of luggage we left our laptop bag at Kansai International Airport on the way to The hotel somewhere through the transfer to T1. With 3k worth of equipment in the bag and coming from Oz I would expect all these items to be gone. Not in Japan and not with Xu’s help. Within the hour she had tracked it down and had a reference number for me to collect the next morning!
After seeing some sights in Osaka the next day we needed to get to Kyoto via the Bullet Train which doesn’t leave from Namba. With a tired/grumpy 3 yo and a lot to carry Xu personally walked us the 10 mins (with one of the bags)down to Namba to help us get a ticket to Shin Osaka.
This is service I will never forget thank you to Xu and the Hotel88 crew for their help. Do yourselves a favour and give Hotel88 and go. It is amongst some great spots and even better Ramen ( which was also recommended by Xu)
Thanks Again 👍
We recently stayed here in Family Room 2 with 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The room is spacious with two large king beds, a couch and a bigger than normal hotel fridge (even had a freezer drawer). The foyer is lovely with free drinks all day/night and an area to sit and eat (they do not serve food though - you need to bring your own). There is a 24hr laundry and so many USB ports in the room I’m not sure anyone would ever travel with enough devices to used them all.
The location is fantastic - a quick walk from namba station (use exit 26) which has subway, JR and Kansai airport train stations. It’s also located right next to Dotonbori with tonnes of restaurants and street food options available.
If you’re a lover of soft beds you might be out of luck. The beds were firm, but still comfortable.
Would highly recommend this hotel to others.
Almost forgot - they also have free massage chairs in the foyer and a pool table.
